Very nice and cosy pub with good meals. Very friendly staff and nice variety of fresh vegetables besides the tasty pie. Keep on going your pub in this way!

We passed this on a hike and decided to visit afterwards as its such a pretty location. We sat out at the side of the river. The food was really good and the plates were full. The staff were very friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend and we will be definitely be making a return journey.

What an amazing find after our walk in the area around to the stepping stones and beyond. Cold beer and lovely food in a great spot by the river. The service was friendly and efficient, will definitely return here when back in the area.

Classic village pub, picturesque setting just off the monsal trail. Excellent local ales and good food with friendly service. A real gem of the peak district.

Lovely place. After a long hike, it was so nice to sit outside next to the river and enjoy our meal. They even sell good quality dog foods too.

Super food homemade went for a quick walk popped in on the way back me and the wife 1 of the best Sunday lunches we've had we ate outside along the river lovely setting highly recommended 😊

Lovely, traditional country pub that’s geared up for home made pub grub. Very popular with people looking for a bite to eat after a long walk. Not really a chatty conversational pub with the way it’s laid out but does serve a cracking pint. About 3 ales on. If you’re not eating and only having an ale (like me) they have a very nice outside area where you can sit by the river. Recommended 🍻 🐕 🎣 🐟

Oh my goodness from the moment of booking to the moment we left after the meal the service was outstanding.
The food was mouthwatering, hot and beautifully cooked and if I could have actually eaten anything else I would have ordered another portion. But the thing that was so great was the young serving team who all had smiles on their faces were quick to please without crowding us and while we waited for our food cleaned down other tables ready for the next customers with absolute efficiency. Haven’t had such a good experience for a long time thoroughly recommend coming more than once shame we have to go back home

Lovely old world pub serving food. The best part about this place are the tables by the river where you can sit and listen to the sound of water. I had the ploughman’s dish which was good quality. Some local ales on tap. They have their own car park here with about a dozen spaces. They don’t allow parking here to go for a walk though.
