Great food and decor and smiley staff. Looks so much nicer than exterior and worth stopping if you're hungry. Highly recommended .

We have just had a three night stay at this brilliant Hostelry. The food ie breakfast/ dinner was excellent. Our stay was a positive experience and we would like to highlight the superb service provided by Lauren, who from the initial welcome, went ‘out of her way’ to ensure our stay at this lovely Tavern was enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again.

Really nice little pub/restaurant off the A6 in Hale. Dog friendly. Nice warm atmosphere. Staff were really nice and the food was good too.

A nice little pub right on the A6 between Carnforth and Milnthorpe. Can be very busy at times, but on this occasion it was quiet, clean, and easy to find seating. Service was ok, but not the chirpy talk you would expect to find in a pub. Kids had a nice play area outside which give the adults a bit of free time to chat. Plenty of poarking and a good over-flow parking for larger vehicles.

10 out of 10...what a gem of a pub/hotel..we had 2 nights there..the rooms were spotlessly clean,the TV takes some working out but had all channels and add ons..the food is very nice and plenty of it..Breakfast was superb.The barmaid/waitress/host Lauren is worth her weight in gold..nothing was to much trouble for her,she told us what was worth visiting in the area and made us feel really welcome.

Stumbled upon The Tavern after not being able to find many places open on a Monday in the area.
I'm glad we did though as the food was tasty and hearty, just what you need on a cold and rainy night.
Very friendly and cosy, suitable to take children and dogs. Everyone is well looked after.

This restaurant is fantastic. Great quality food, beautifully made. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Can't comment on rooms because we didn't stay there.
