It's always a pleasure visiting Milton Ernest Garden Centre . The staff are very friendly , knowledgeable and helpful . The cafe is very good value and offers a good variety of food. I can definitely recommend the afternoon tea !!!!!
I live in northwestern Louisiana, USA, and about 2 1/2 years ago, Ms. Claire Wilkes and Ms. Amber Murray assisted me in purchasing some York-themed tea towels (from their gift shop) I intended to give as Christmas presents. This was hardly a major matter in their day-to-day business but the purchase was made and the merchandise was received by me promptly and in good condition. I have remembered their service ever since. I hope to conduct some other long-range business with the Garden Centre again in the future. Thank you, Joe R. White, Jr.

The main selling point of this garden centre has to be its outdoor plant area, its quite nice and has a large selection.
The pot area is vast too.
It also has an indoor area, containing the usual home decor, an unusual lamp selection, a pet corner, a sewing area and a small clothing area..
A nice place to visit, not the largest but it has alot packed in !!
Everything what one would expect from a garden center: huge variety of plants, gardening equipment, professional staff and a lovely café when you can have a lunch or afternoon tea. Ah, if you're lucky you can have a visit on your table from hungry and greedy robin. Lovely addition though. I do recommend it but prices are not the lowest however you can find sometimes something unique and not expensive.
There was a flower painting activity for children which was extremely pleasant for all including children's guardians. A very nice garden centre. My grandson and I had great fun wandering around it. The cafe is very nice too.
Lovely local garden centre. Selling everything you'd expect as well as a great selection of gifts and crafts inside the shop. Coffee shop was lovely with ample seating inside and outside in the covered area. Plenty of parking for a weekday but i imagine it gets busy at weekends. Stopped here for a coffee and a wander before a visit to twinwoods adventure nearby.
What a lovely little find. It's nice to find something that is not a big chain and completely over the top. This a a very cute little garden centre and cafe. The food was brilliant, very clean restaurant lacking in something, but good and the garden centre was really nice, had everything you wanted without being over the top and in your face. Free parking, lovely plants, excellent for wheelchairs and Prams what more do you want , And you never know what you are going to find when looking for a book 😀

Love this local garden centre. The plants are excellent quality and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. We ALWAYS go to the café when we visit. It's become a tradition with my two teens! It's so reassuring too because I know there will always be a gluten free option in the café.
On this occasion, my coeliac daughter was spoilt for choice. There were 7 cakes and desserts to choose from! There are milk alternatives for me, and I was able to have a vegan prepackaged slice of lemon cake, which was delicious.
They can also cater for some gluten free savoury dishes too but my daughter often just goes for a jacket potato here.
There is plenty of seating, and you get the choice to sit outside amongst the plants too on a nice day...so relaxing 😌

Wonderful garden centre cafe in Milton Ernest. As busy as any cafe I have seen but the staff coped admirably. There are plenty of options on the menu and loads of seating available. Our first choice of cafe was closed so this was a great alternative but might just be the first in future.
Lovely compact garden centre which also has a great boutique with italian designed casual wear which I just love. Not impressed with the cafe tho they have a good range of cakes. All in all a must visit for me as there dog groomers are just magic for my little Westie.
Excellent healthy plants. A member of staff carried my heavy purchases to my car. Very friendly and helpful staff.
