A friendly local pub that gets very busy. Parking available , although do be aware this gets full at the peak times. An outside garden at the front looking over the canal. A small enclosed garden at the back too.. Dogs allowed inside the pub. A large varied menu, with breakfasts being served most of the day. The meals are hearty and big, you won't be leaving hungry. They're excellent value for money. A great place to visit for lunch !

We had a great lunch today and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. We arrived dripping wet from a morning canoeing in the rain and they welcomed us in and really looked after us. We needed good home cooked food which is just what we got to fuel us up for the afternoon paddle. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend, thank you.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a real family feel. Food is decent and the wine even better! Good luck to the new owners. So nice to see an old school pub still going and not being sold off for flats like every other local pub.
