No. 31 Tapas Bar & Kitchen

Best food in this area I have had in a long time! Manager was soo lovely, she helped us pick out our perfect meal and gave me a glass of bubbly on the house as it was my birthday. Then the bill comes out a lot cheaper than I expected for such delicious food! I will be recommending this restaurant again and again to everyone I know!

This was our first visit to no31. We didn't really know what to expect although having read the reviews we knew it was going to be good. We ordered 3 tapas dishes as a starter which were delicious. We then ordered the sunday roast for our main. I had the pork and my husband had the lamb. The food was extraordinary. The meat just fell apart and the potatoes and vegetables were perfect. The customer service was also really good. We could not fault our meal and are already thinking who can we take with us the next time. We would highly recommend no31. It was our anniversary date and one that we will remember.

I came across this place by chance. The first time we visited they were very busy with no tables to sit at, however the owner didn't send us away as other restaurants with the same problem had. Instead he invited us in, told us that if we sit at the bar for no longer than half an hour, he'd make a space free for us. This was very nice of him. Alas we didn't have time to wait, so we booked a table and returned on a another day. The food here is 'delicioso' , to put it bluntly. The food, although Tapas, is very generous in portion sizes and bursting with flavour. The Chefs in the kitchen all originate from different parts Spain so you know you're getting authentic Spanish food that feels like it was cooked in a home. Also, its not too pricey, landing in the midrange. The staff are very friendly and really make up for a pleasent time at No. 31. The owner was especially friendly and had a great sense of humor, and his staff were just as welcoming and friendly as he was. Lastly, the cocktails here were probably the best I've had. To the staff, it wasn't just throwing liquor into a glass, but instead seeing it as a form of art. Getting the right mixes, leaving it to stew for a minute or two, zesting the garnish and using a blow torch to really bring out the flavours. You get the idea. Couldn't recommend highly enough, have already suggested to friends that they visit. Well worth the buck.
