Brilliant old fashioned country pub in the heart of Whaddon friendly landlord behind the bar huge beer garden at the back toilets are clean and tidy music playing and my 1st time visiting today spent about 35 mins here I brought a diet coke and chorizo crisps it was abit busy as there was a bbq at the back of the pub and I have seen this place before as I go walking in the countryside around there

Absolutely 💯, great service lovely staff and the food was amazing best roast dinner, vegetables were fresh and proper roast potatoes beef was so tender, I will definitely be back with friends and family, amazing...ohh how can I ever forget the pudding brownie and caramel ice cream soon good...

Really good pub. Parking at the back of the pub & when you park up you realise how beautiful it is out there.
Great outdoor space, lovely scenery with fields, sheep, etc. It's great to have the kids run around
Service was quick, didn't have to wait long on the food, and Scarlett, our waitress was lovely, so was everyone, lovely run family pub. Prices are reasonable.

Had a Sunday lunch here today 02/04/23.....
Absolutely amazing food, had lamb roast and it was delicious.... and cooked from scratch,although a shortage of staff today everyone went our if their way to make it enjoyable and it was just fab... so thank you to you all.

Stopped for a quick pint while passing.
Cosy inside with large outside space perfect for summer socialising with friends, big carpark and easy to find.
Good selection of beer and spirits with loads of snacks.

If your looking for a great takeaway Sunday lunch this place is one to try. Fantastic friendly service from all there. Food really well packed and presented & of course most importantly it tastes fantastic, a real home cooked new year's dinner only cooked by them. If you want to get behind a small family owned pub book yourself a tasty takeaway in 2022
