Park Place Brasserie

(T&F Journals Production Appreciation Event – 11th September 2019 - Hosted by Claire Summerfield and Ali Yates) Well, the planning is over, the goodie bags all dished out, and I am thrilled to say our UK Journals Production Appreciation Event went without a hitch. From the point we were given the brief this has by far been the best project we have worked on at T&F. It’s quite a daunting task to plan an event for such a diverse set of people, let alone plan an event that celebrates these people individually and as a team – much like cogs in a clock. Logistically, location was always going to be an issue, but little did we know about the hidden gem on our doorstep! We were extremely fortunate to have approached a great venue on site whose enthusiasm for the event matched ours! Nikki and Waldek, owners of Park Place Brasserie, were the ultimate hosts; informative, generous with their time and experience. Nothing was too much to ask and their suggestions and flexibility meant we knew we had chosen the right people and place to hold our event. Once the budget and catering was agreed, they then allowed us free rein of decoration and entertainment. Walking through the mysterious objects, bubbling potions and plumes of smoke at the entrance set the theme of the entertainment to come. Everyone was greeted with a smile and a welcome drink before being ushered round the projector screen, and past the delicious sights and smells of the food to come, to the make shift theatre and seating area. The flexibility of the space was excellent, and we comfortably entertained and fed 80 guests, with the addition of a well stocked bar, 3 buffet stations and fresh and clean facilities. Everyone had ample time to enjoy the fresh buffet of delights on offer. From pakoras & chilli chicken to vegan pizzas, it was plentiful and there was something for everyone, and all dietary needs catered for, and that’s not to mention the cakes, fruit and cheesecakes on offer! Nikki and Waldek deserve recognition for all their services, not just the lunchtime trade they provide over the two sites. Businesses on Milton Park should be made aware of the Brasserie as a potential venue for business needs. Excellent value for money, convenient location and personable customer service are certainly the key elements that make this family run business a remarkable facility to consider.

Nicely presented food and good value for money. The service was friendly and efficient. Lemon chicken salad (with avocado) is very good.

Excellent lunch. Friendly staff. Prompt service. Very modest price. Altogether very good.

Always eat here when at Milton Park. Very helpful nice staff and good quality food.

A good option if you want a quiet place for a lunch meeting within Milton Park.
