This pub is definitely the best one in minehead, we visited here twice on our holiday away & were impressed by the quality of the food and the prices for said food.
I had the steak & ale pie which was absolutely phenomenal & very well priced.
My girlfriend had the chicken burger which she said was the best one she’s had in a very long time!
Food was out extremely quick only took about 10mins but definitely didn’t taste like it had been near a microwave, awesome service.
Drinks are fairly priced and we’re quickly served to you.
Servicing staff were awesome and were friendly. The girls were awesome, the lad working on our second visit for the Manchester derby was a bit grumpy and mumbly, other than that great service all round!
Play area looked great for kids although we don’t have kids or used it, it looked awesome!
Toilets were spotless and clean!
Watching the football was abit of a pain, as some of the television locations were about strange and hurt my back to watch as I had to sit on a bar stool.
Definitely stop off if you are visiting!

We didn't eat here but the food smelt and looked amazing. We only popped in for a coffee as they have an amazing kids play area. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely.

Food arrived quick and tasted so nice, we have the fish and chips and steak and ale pie both of which were absolutely lovely. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Would definitely eat here again.

Decent beer. Good standard good & menu selection. TV with sports but no volume so does not 'invade' enjoyment of those not interested in watching footy etc.

Really good hang out for a few hours. Great selection of drinks. Plenty of room inside and out. Food is good and the atmosphere great. Shows all live sports. If not… ask they have no issues with putting it on. Some of the shots are expensive if you’re going in rounds and tend to fluctuate from what ever position of the bar you’re standing haha so just keep an eye on that but otherwise the please to be during the day

We first tried this pub as they were dog friendly, since then, The Hairy Dod has become a firm favourite. We have also recommended this place to our friends.
The food is outstanding. The steak pie, as pictured, is epic! They are certainly not shy with the steak, or the quality either. The steak just falls apart in your mouth and amazing flavour.
We have never had a bad or even mediocre meal here.
I would and always do highly recommend this place.

Lovely place family and dog friendly with a adventure play area out back with a nice conservatory area with glass doors over looking play area . also have a pool table and TV for sports 👌👌👌food was super and very accommodating got me separate peas with the carvery and my son sausage with his . 100 percent be back every time I'm over this way 👏👏👏👏
