This pub is definitely the best one in minehead, we visited here twice on our holiday away & were impressed by the quality of the food and the prices for said food.
I had the steak & ale pie which was absolutely phenomenal & very well priced.
My girlfriend had the chicken burger which she said was the best one she’s had in a very long time!
Food was out extremely quick only took about 10mins but definitely didn’t taste like it had been near a microwave, awesome service.
Drinks are fairly priced and we’re quickly served to you.
Servicing staff were awesome and were friendly. The girls were awesome, the lad working on our second visit for the Manchester derby was a bit grumpy and mumbly, other than that great service all round!
Play area looked great for kids although we don’t have kids or used it, it looked awesome!
Toilets were spotless and clean!
Watching the football was abit of a pain, as some of the television locations were about strange and hurt my back to watch as I had to sit on a bar stool.
Definitely stop off if you are visiting!

Lovely place family and dog friendly with a adventure play area out back with a nice conservatory area with glass doors over looking play area . also have a pool table and TV for sports 👌👌👌food was super and very accommodating got me separate peas with the carvery and my son sausage with his . 100 percent be back every time I'm over this way 👏👏👏👏

We first tried this pub as they were dog friendly, since then, The Hairy Dod has become a firm favourite. We have also recommended this place to our friends.
The food is outstanding. The steak pie, as pictured, is epic! They are certainly not shy with the steak, or the quality either. The steak just falls apart in your mouth and amazing flavour.
We have never had a bad or even mediocre meal here.
I would and always do highly recommend this place.

A lovely family pub/restaurant and well worth a visit. We have used it on and off for over 10 years and I have to say over that time it’s been consistently good. The food is reasonably priced and offers a great selection as well as for vegetarians. Staff were polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A warm friendly vibe inside. There is also a great bit play area for children out the back if you need it. When I say bit it’s huge and not your normal pub garden stuff. Well done hairy dog minehead for a fab lunch today

Food arrived quick and tasted so nice, we have the fish and chips and steak and ale pie both of which were absolutely lovely. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Would definitely eat here again.

Really good hang out for a few hours. Great selection of drinks. Plenty of room inside and out. Food is good and the atmosphere great. Shows all live sports. If not… ask they have no issues with putting it on. Some of the shots are expensive if you’re going in rounds and tend to fluctuate from what ever position of the bar you’re standing haha so just keep an eye on that but otherwise the please to be during the day

Came down to minehead for the day to celebrate my father inlaws birthday and we decided to to come here for dinner before going home. Quite a big place but got confused by the 3 entrances at the front, once in we went to get our reserved table and ordered food & drinks, the pub is nice and quite with a chilled atmosphere and the music here wasn't loud so you can hear the people your having a conversation with. When the food arrived the portion size was just right & delicious. Toilets located up stairs and also has an outdoor play area outside in the pub garden which is quite big as shown in the photos.

Wow just wow!! £12.95 for a Sunday carvery, we thought we'd give it ago while on a trip to Butlins. We were not disappointed, the food tasted great. The atmosphere was family and pet friendly. Very reasonable prices, a lovely roast that tasted delicious. Pork and beef were the options last Sunday, I assume this changes week to week. Lovely selection of veg to pile on. Will definitely return in the future.

We didn't eat here but the food smelt and looked amazing. We only popped in for a coffee as they have an amazing kids play area. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely.

Only had drinks. It had the best playground for kids lve ever seen, fantastic. The food looked good and everyone enjoyed there meals. The pub was packed.

An attractive pub and restaurant with a spacious outdoors for the kids with a huge playground area and has a clean environment. The menu was quite varied and the food I received was of lovely quality, prices weren't too bad either. The waitress was nice also!

Fantastic place to stop for food in Minehead especially if you have young children.
The service we received was speedy and friendly despite them being very busy. The food was excellent as well.
The highlight though is the incredible children's play area at the back. There's no issue in keeping children entrained whilst waiting for food because there's so many different areas for them to explore in the play area.
