If I could give 100 stars I would. My partner and I have been talking about going for dinner at Banks since it reopened but because pretty much every restaurant we have been to recently the food and service has been awful so we were a bit hesitant. We should not have worried because from the moment we walked through the door we were met by the friendly Manager who was absolutely lovely and helpful, the food was exceptional; delicious, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and generous portions. We had the burger which was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted and shared a creme brulee (only because we were completely full from the main course but wanted to try because that and burgers give you a really good indication of how good food is at a restaurant). As well as wonderful staff and delicious food the ambience and decor was great too. Would thoroughly recommend.

Was very impressed with the standard at Banks. We arrived and had drinks and a light lunch in the sunny garden, with a beautiful view. We felt very welcomed and looked after by the whole team at Banks. Would 100% recommend the lamb! Thank you for a lovely couple of days.
Lovely, lovely food. Service, extremely beyond 5 stars. The young lady with fair hair was totally exceptional. The atmosphere was great and the chief came to our table to make sure everything was to satisfaction. A totally brilliant night. Thank you Banks Restaurant. My daughter and I will be there again!! New years Eve menu, great food,great service,lovely music ,what not to like !
Went again to banks for a group meal for 21 on Saturday , we gave Banks a price we wanted to pay and they came back with a brilliant menu , we got there at 7 ish and had a L shape table, the food was lovely and there was no hassle and great service , it was a great evening, thank you Banks, also for your quick response to our original emails, another place we approached never bothered to get back to us, thier loss!
Wow ! This restaurant is amazing ! We had booked a 70th which was cancelled last minute we rang BAnks and they made room for all 24 of us ! Cannot praise the staff enough , attentive ,polite very professional and totally on form . The food is bar none we had the two course Sunday lunch , plenary of options for everyone’s taste and then four options for main . I had the roast beef and it was amazing ! The potatoes home cooked the veg was perfect the cauliflower cheese not to be missed . This was after a very well portioned starter . Everyone’s meals came out together and this isn’t your harvester or beefeater toast this is upmarket full of flavour perfectly cooked roast . The decor is beautiful and so clean and the views are stunning . 25.00 per adult for a two course Sunday lunch and worth every penny if not more . If you are looking for a beautiful Sunday lunch in an elegant setting then go here . Five stars is not enough for this place. Thank you all for a fantastic afternoon x
Visited this restaurant as a last-minute decision, and they were able to accommodate us with no problems at all, we visited with my in laws and it is fair to say the food and service were second to none. I used to work in busy pubs and always judge by the standard we had to set, and this team exceeded it they were attentive, and the check backs came at the right time. I was asked if there was anything different, and at the time, I did say no, but upon reflection and this isn't a complaint at all as a lot of places do it. But if the children's food comes out first, no one will complain. we did get ours before the little one and can respect timings etc etc but we didn't start until she got her plate anyway.
The views are amazing and we really look forward to eating here again. The team here will keep you well fed and watered throughout your visit

Brunch today was fantastic - Eggs Royale wete cooked so well, with perfect poached eggs, and the ideal amount of hollandaise sauce
The fish fingers in ciabatta (served with fries) was just as good - both of these dishes were perfect portion size for lunch (as long as you are hungry 😁)
Very good attentive service - will be back!
