Lovely setting, & very impressive as I pulled in to the entrance. Bar area was great, open log fire, wood paneled walls. Food was excellent, both in the Restaurant first night I stayed & Bar food second night. Breakfast was super. My only gripe was that the bedrooms were cold, I was given a portable radiator, but that wasn't working, still apart from that clean & comfortable. The staff were very helpful & attentive, it was a pleasant stay.

Beautiful place and an amazing breakfast! Seemed like fresh local produce for breakfast? Im not a big fan of the full English breakfast, but here I absolutely loved it! Everything from the food seemed exquisite and tasty. The grounds are amazing and I felt like my room was haunted. I'm 36 years old and I slept with the covers over my head! Love this place and will visit again!

Beautiful hotel, exceptional decor. Good attentive service. High quality food. The grounds are stunning and the area around is quaint and villagey, worth a visit for afternoon tea. Great place to hold a meeting as we do, but also have been to an Anniversary party there which was fabulous.

Full of character and history with a lovely but slightly tired look. Plenty of grounds and wooded walks in spring to enjoy daffodils, anemones, bluebells, primroses ducks, chaffinches and an egret! There is a large choice on display for breakfast as well as many and varied cooked choices. The A La Carte evening meals are reasonable, very nicely cooked and presented. We found all members of staff friendly, taking time out to have a conversation with us. This is one place we would definitely return to if visiting this area in future.

Looking on the website it was hard to see why this place was only a three star hotel and not more, but after staying it is clear to see why. It is a beautiful building with very friendly and helpful staff, however, there are definalty areas that could be improved. Self playing piano as you enter was really cool but our room had no heating, just two electric heaters that hadn't been switched on for our arrival. This was actually rectified straight away when I asked to move and was really impressed with this service. Nice relaxing bar area. Food was lovely but my starter came still with the cling film on! Dining room was a little dated but I liked the atmosphere this created. Bedroom itself was spacious, but had some sort of liquid splattered on one of the walls. Really did enjoy my stay, but certain issues meant I rated it as a 4* experience instead of 5*.

An historically important house. A beautiful setting. So you can forgive a lot. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable although some of them looked a bit tired. I believe the property have a change of ownership soon, so maybe some investment will see them okay. We attended a wedding and had a wonderful time and the setting for the photographs, included a 17th century covered bridge. Over all a wonderful time. A great place.

Awesome Hotel ! Stayed with our dog in February ... big room downstairs ... the dark coloured wall paint really suited the room ... (could of had better pillows as a bit lumpy) ... really nice staff ... GREAT breakfast included ... homemade muesli & granola was soooo gooood yum! then a hot cooked breakfast ... we ate in the bar ... was so cool ... very pretty in the evening by candle light ... beautiful grounds loved our woodland walk before we left on the Sunday morning ... will be back in April !! 😁 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had our wedding reception at Monk Fryston Hall 1/9/17 and it was magical. The hall provides a picture postcard setting for a romantic and elegant venue. The staff were attentive and friendly providing a first class service. The menu choice was well received by our guests and didn't disappoint on taste and presentation. We had an amazing day and will have beautiful memories.
