Urban Deli

Urban Deli is the best mexican food spot in Monmouth and Independence hands down. They have amazing customer service, fair prices for their quality, and a great location to sit inside or outside. The best part of their menu in my opinion is their drinks since they make them with fresh fruit in front of you. They give you the perfect portion of food too, you leave feeling satifsied: no longer hungry but not enough to "over-eat."

Authentic Mexican dishes prepared with special care. There are several imported ingredients that give some these dishes that special Mexican flavor. The ambiance is casual and bright and the customer service was warm and welcoming. Licuados (shakes) are refreshing and creamy. The Torta Cubana is by far the best I've tried in Oregon. The lightly buttered bread gives it the extra mile taste complementing the carefully blended ingredients on the inside. The asada and al pastor sopes are flavorful on their own but the fresh made salsas gave them an extra punch. This place is a must try!

Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here. We ordered online and everything was wrong. We are vegetarian and they put meat in everything. And missing all of the other ingredients. When we called to tell them our order was wrong, instead of apologizing and trying to fix the problem, the woman was yelling at us. She just wanted to argue and scream at us. So unprofessional and rude

Great find! I got the special torta and except for being a bit salty to my taste it was excellent. I don't eat a lot of salt so this is a common thing for me. The owner (I assume) was friendly and helpful and obviously proud of his establishment. With good reason. I'll be back again when I'm in town.

The food was terrible. I ordered carne asada fries thinking that’s what I was getting but no…. They weren’t even worth the money I paid. I’d recommend going to casa burrito if you want authentic asada fries. The shrimp fajitas were also terrible.. and no I’m not exaggerating. Do not eat here it’s not worth your money! If you’re reading this comment thank me later!
