Having had a very nice walk around the gardens of Montacute House it was time for lunch and although The Phelips Arms for some reason did not come up on Google search for resturaunts we decided to give it ago. Very quiet when we walked, however it was early, and the landlords were great and accommodating. We had a lovely meal, and the Ale was perfect. When we left the pub was busy, we shall be back.
Wonderful place, very traditional pub/ B&B. The owner was a friendly and helpful person, I needed some assistance and local knowledge and she couldn't do enough to help, she went above and beyond.I would definitely recommend this place if you were in the area. 10/10.
Lovely village pub and rooms with a warm welcome and home cooked food. It's a big pub with a nice bar area, beautiful beer garden and large skittles alley. Situated right next door to Montacute Hotel, it's definitely worth a visit.
Very old Inn in a preserved village, with most houses a few hundred years old. Friendly landlady. Tasty food and good service.
This pub is absolutely beautiful. And the staff are always so welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Has a really local feel. Very casual. I. Summer BBQ replaces a roast☹️ on a Sunday .BBQ is quite nice but the only food choice. Friendly staff and landlady. BBQ is self service .
Charles, Tricks and Co are just so welcoming. The pub offers great quality Palmers Ales on cask. Great beer combined with a tasty menu make this pub a must visit. Daily lunch and dinner specials and brilliant hosts behind the bar. Thank you!
We paid a visit tonight for the cocktail night, i couldn't be more impressed good food, very well presented and prepared cocktails and finally and most importantly great customer service. We will certainly be back.
Stayed here on a Saturday night there was a band playing they were excellent made a very enjoyable night . Room was lovely and breakfast great host couldn't do enough. Thoroughly recommend
Whilst visiting Montacute House we came across this lovely pub and stopped off for Sunday lunch which was delicious and huge!!! Everyone including the dog was very friendly even though we hadn't booked hope to return at some time. Thankyou
