Basin 141

We went to Montrose for shoes, an impromptu haircut (hubby) and breakfast! We found parking in a city lot in front of Anawalt lumber and started walking up Honolulu. The shoe store Walk this Way was open already but we wanted food. As we were walking I saw someone eating from a cast iron skillet and I say that looks good. The response was it is and I look at the store front and realize we are at Basin 141 . Sorry for the delay in finishing my review but my entrée at The Whole Enchiladas was served. It wasn’t that warm outside so we elected to eat inside, This location is more like a tavern like. The one in Monrovia is more family, large group oriented. I have been to both. So it was Sunday and we were here for Brunch! They have Bottomless Mimosas (Some Orange Juice mostly sparkling wine). I am not a Mimosa fan so I had the Basin Rita. My husband had water ( someone has to be able to drive home) Also he wanted to have room for his large Pure Dark Chocolate Ice blended with 2 shots from CBTL. He had the Cinnamon Cream French Toast The food looked and smelled delicious. I love the smell of cinnamon. I had the Brioche French toast an extra side of bacon and a side of crispy potatoes .No leftovers we ate everything. I enjoyed my cocktail and decided to stop at one . Will we come back yes. Would we bring friends or family yes.

Wow tonight was a horrible night, Dana who they have as manager is HORRIBLE he is not willing to listen to reason! But judge you without reason! And for a manager to confront you is so wrong! I have been coming here for years and never been treated and confronted by a manager! Wrong in so many ways! The sad thing is people need their jobs and servers are so unhappy! Why should someone be working under so much hostility? Owners listen to your employees this Dana is not right!

This review is based on the horrible experience I had witnessing the Manager, Dana, not only falsely accuse but harass my friend over a glass of wine she did not order. A waitress mistakenly served the wine and when the bill came, my friend brought it to Dana's attention. Instead of just taking it off, he spoke condescendingly, accused her of ordering the wine and then in a threatening manner said he would run back the cameras to prove it. My friend was not intimidated and said please run the camera, it will prove you're wrong. He never ran the camera. All this over a glass of wine. We've been patrons at this place for years and spend a lot of money each time we visit but my friend, myself and our other friend who was a regular, will never step foot in this place unless Dana is no longer an employee. Tip for Dana - take an anger management course and a course on how to treat your customers professionally. Your actions cost this business 3 good paying regulars.
