Had a lovely fish supper with the family tonight, chips were fine, would recommend the breaded haddock.
Bowled over by the friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service though, I asked where I could pump up my tyre and the lady arranged for a colleague to come with a compressor and help me get us and our suppers home. Thanks a mil again!
Absolutely delicious fish supper. Massive portion of yummy fish, in a perfect batter. The chips are darker than most, but that’s the way we like them, not pale and greasy. It’s currently our favourite fish supper in Scotland! Well done 😊
The view sitting looking over Bervie Bay is spectacular
I'm not much of a chips person anyways, but we stopped here on the way home from Stonehaven, and I have to say, the best haggis and white pudding I have ever tasted in my life!! The chips were OK, the place was empty though, and the staff seemed rushed off their feet behind the scenes, the girl who took our order was very flustered. Still... Nothing I could actually complain about, food was great.
The Bervie Chipper was recommended by a friend.
We travel all over Scotland sampling the various foods available. So on our way back down from Aberdeen we were starving by the time we arrived in Inverbervie.
The restaurant was dark, the lights weren't switched on yet.
The food was ready in under 10 minutes, was freshly cooked and piping hot.
We headed down to the carpark overlooking Inverbervie Bay. (Beautiful)
I like my chips to be thoroughly cooked.
I don't like peely-wally chips.
These were cooked to perfection.
The fish was large, fresh and delicious.
This was a delightful meal and I am so glad that we came here.
I'm still looking for the best fish supper in Scotland.
But the Bervie Chipper currently holds the number one spot.
Well done.
Last night popped in for a fish supper and a Smokey sausage.
I thought at 14.50 very expensive however I noticed it looked like nothing was on ..
Anyway two other customers came in placed orders the later guy being very aggressive and shouting that nothing was on it’s not a chip do demanded a refund the next guy watched his frozen fish css as he’s being defrosted in the microwave not a good idea showing customers a microwave so he complained rightly so and left .
( I went with my rule try everything once but had no confidence)
I saw him battering the fish doing the chips he was obviously defensive and hurt so I ran with it .
All I can say is put the microwave through the back stick a couple of pies on the hot plate .
Your fish chips and Smokey sausage were as good as I’ve ever had .
I’m glad I used my rule everything once .
I will definitely be back ..,
You should have a look at other chip shops and understand what people want to see.
Your end product is superior but people need to see a traditional fish and chip shop
See you soon
After reading the bad reviews was a bit worried of trying here but decided on it anyway. I had a fish , my husband and the child had double cheeseburgers and chips. My fish was nice didn't taste fishy and tasted fresh. The batter was slightly over done for my liking as prefer a little less crunch but hey who's ever died from a crispy fish. The burgers seemed nice I tried a small bite of my husbands and it was packed with salad. The chips seemed good I didn't have any but tried a few of the boys chips. They weren't too chunky and weren't soggy so already better than some other places . Only other downside was I had brown sauce on my fish and the sauce had been watered down so my white trousers now have stains where it leaked out the box. Other than that I can safely say I've spent far more money for worse food before. I'd definitely go back as was happy with the food and wait time for the price paid. My wait time from going in the door to leaving with food was under 10mins .
Chicken Pakora was EXCELLENT. Onion rings fine & hot too! Generous serving, nice batter, served with a bit of salad & a wee tub of sauce - just right for a light supper, and great value too!
Really pleased with the new ownership so keep up the good work!
Popped in for chips but the staff were very welcoming. The chips were made fresh and we're some of the best we've ever tasted.
Great fish and chips! Plus we tried a few new to us things including pizza crunch and macaroni pie. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had just moved to Inverbervie and they really helped us out.
Nice new owners, good fish supper. Looking forward to the Indian delights as vegetable samosa was absolutely delicious!
Good luck to you and the team.
Honestly this is the best Chipper I have ever ate in my entire life.
I travel up from Arbroath to get it, its that good.
