Great place to stop on the way in or out of the Peak District. We hadn't planned on staying as late so had to find somewhere for food.
This pub has great ratings already which is why we picked it and were not disappointed. Good choice of food and drinks available and it was lovely sitting outside enjoying it.
Staying in Monyash we had an easy 200yd walk to the Bull. The food was excellent, plenty of it to the point we struggled to get out of our chairs!! Service was superb, we will be back!!!
Great place to stop and rest after a hike in the Dales. Was recommended this pub for an after hike Sunday lunch, and was so glad we visited. Great surroundings, great for families and superb home cooked food and plenty of it. Not to be missed if you're in the area. My picture looks a bit messy, but had extra fresh veg so doesnt do it justice really, but food was beautiful and tasty.
Lunch with mum. Salmon and prawn salad and prawn salad. Both lovely, with lots of elements not usually found on your average pub salad. Would recommend.
Party of 11 was accommodated without any problem when we’d been turned down at two other establishments in Hartington (one booked up; one couldn’t cope)
Anyway - everyone enjoyed their food. Good sized portions. 👍🏽
Very good waitress served us.
Good interior - great feeling, comfy chairs etc.
This is a great village pub. It has 4 cask ales on handpumps, plus a good selection of keg lagers, beers and ciders. The food is very generous, sized for your hungry farmer I think! I don't think many people would manage 3 courses!!
Quite a varied menu with several fish options and a couple of Veggie. Specials board with usually 3 additional options. Very good value. Nice snug, lounge can lack atmosphere due to it's high ceiling but is usually lively and noisy. There is also a rear room with a pool table which appeals to the younger customers. Restaurant is pleasant but has the same menu as the bar, and can be the only place to find a table to eat at on a busy night. Tends took be quieter later on the evening. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible.
This pub was excellent, very good, efficient friendly staff and the food is absolutely top quality. Dogs allowed in the bar. Monyash is a charming Peak District village.
Had a very pleasant experience on Sunday when we stumbled over The Bulls Head quite frankly by mistake when we were actually on the way to another establishment , That was not a problem though the quickly accommodated us and our three children and we had a lovely meal.
Great Food and Great Service thank you for a lovely experience and we will certainly be back again but this time we will make sure that we book the correct place!
Kind Regards John
We visited on Saturday with the Ripley Morris on their Easter Tour. Busy but welcoming. Lots of bikes outside. The food looked wonderful. Good choice of beers. A wonderful atmosphere
We stopped here after a 10 mile walk.
We ordered a baguette each and a portion of chips. You can see from the photos, how generous the portion sizes are.
Great food, reasonably priced and great staff.
Great location, recommended 👍🏻
