Stopped by for a working lunch on a Friday. Service was really warm and welcoming, menu is a mix of small plates (like jalapeño poppers, halloumi fries, nachos), chicken wings and tenders, smashed burgers. …
Called in here for a couple of pints and gin and tonic for mrs on the way home as this is a cask marque accredited pub. new bar staff on duty and we're not properly trained had to ask for ice and lemon in the G+T. the place is very well set out and groups of locals in each area having fun also singing and dancing
Lovely place to stop for a drink or meet up with friends. Staff friendly and welcoming, a great place.
Lived across the road from the George in the 80s when they added the zebra crossing making it even easier to get home after a few drinks 🤣

Yum yum, right enjoyed my gammon & egg and chips from The George. 10 out 10. Eggs were cooked to perfection.
Good atmosphere. Good service. Really nice lady with dark hair behind the bar.
