Very lovely aesthetic. Would recommend to book a table prior to going. Food was very nice as well as the atmosphere. I bought a lovely rose petal body lotion from there. Amazing place for the summer x

We discovered this place last Sunday after driving back from an early morning out. What a find .!!! Fantastic little venue which just happens to service incredible food .! I was shocked to read reviews with low stars as we thought it was brilliant and for the people mentioning the price. It’s not expensive you get what you pay for. Which in my experience was great food served to an extremely high standard and fantastic service at a fair price. Would recommend highly.

Love Dovecote buttery and it’s been great seeing it develop over the years. Good food (very tasty Sunday lunch), lovely venue with home accessories to tempt the wallet and always a great atmosphere. Ring to reserve before you go because it gets busy.

Lovely place as usual. You can pick your strawberries and raspberry and eat as many as you can 👌 Perfect for children especially for a sunny and healthy day out. A small box of raspberry is 4£ and for strawberry is 5£. Also you can stay as long as you want🥰🍓🍓🍓

This was our first visit to the venue with the family. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We had a breakfast. There are many things on the menu to choose from; full English breakfast to simple healthy breakfast items. They also serve lunch from 12:00. Again a good selection on the lunch menu. There is a play area for young ones. There is also soft fruit picking areas. We did the strawberry picking. On their website you would find the fruit picking calendar. My 3 year granddaughter had a fantastic time picking strawberries and eating it while picking it. All in all it was a great experience and we would be going back their again soon.

At first, I wasn't impressed with the vegan options, I don't think the menu does the food justice. I went with the hummus and roasted pepper sandwich, sounded too simplistic and not adventurous enough, something I could easily make at home. But it was delicious. The brown bread was thick and lushous. The menu says that the sandwiches are served with salad and potato salad, so I made an enquiry as to whether they provided a vegan potato salad. I was super pleased when they came back out and said they could make some up, and when I asked if I could have jalapeños added in the sandwich, although each time the person serving us was resistant, the chef added it. It is a little pricey for what you get food wise, but the service from the kitchen was brilliant. Would highly recommend eating there. The food is delicious.

Lovely setting, lovely food and a good level of service every other time I've been. This time, however, it fell short. I had given my guest an 80th birthday present which included a Thornton's mini birthday cake. My guest decided on the spur of the moment that she'd like to open the cake, so that we could join her in enjoying it. The waitress told us she wasn't able to serve it and that we weren't allowed to eat it, in case we became sick and blamed it on them! It was embarrassing and I said we'd risk it, to then be told she'd get a 'b-llocking! Most other establishments would not only have offered the lady a knife and plate, I'm sure they'd have also wished her a happy birthday! C'mon Dovecote, you can do better.
