Lovely little pub went Tues afternoon great atmosphere Lovely views, we ordered a starter of galic mushroom which we enjoyed. Then l order fish and chips. What arrived was whale and chip it was wonderful, but the chip are heavily salted. My wife ordered the stake and ale pie, which she said was lovely. I would definitely recommend giving the place a try

Great dog friendly pub! Stopped off after a walk and had a drink with the most amazing chips as well as flatbread and dips and halloumi. All gorgeous. Quick service with friendly staff. We will be back soon!!

Came for Sunday lunch today and was not disappointed! Yes it may be a bit pricey but it was absolutely worth it.. the service was amazing and the food was spot on. Our food was served in good time and was hot and delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend the greedy duck, it was the best Sunday treat we have had in a long time. Thank you all for your exceptional customer service and the talented chefs for a delicious Sunday lunch!

Lovely local pub that feels like you’re further away from home somehow. The views at the back could put you anywhere in the scenic parts of Yorkshire. The food is lovely and they’re always switching it up so you can go regularly and try something new! The staff are helpful, they listen and they really care. The atmosphere is different every day, people from all over like to go but you also get your happy regulars. I love the feel of this place. I used to go to this pub years ago and the most recent renovation has given it the makeover we didn’t know it needed, it really is a lovely pub. Yorkshire feel with a modern twist, suits all ages and perfect for a family visit or a nice date night.

Superb. In fact one for the best pub meals I've ever had. And I'm picky. OK, service was pretty slow but all done with a smile. But wow, food was so good. Steak and ale pie and fish'n'chips landed on our table. Beautiful and worth the wait. Fresh, piping hot, huge. Pint of landlord with it too.

Didn't eat anything but by god I wish we did. Me and my sister visited on a day where they were having an all you can eat massive BBQ, they'd brought in a world famous griller and you basically paid for a wristband and ate to your hearts content, sadly I had other arrangements and this was just somewhere to grab a drink with my sister coming over from Great Harwood. Great service, and the landlord even stood and had a chat with us. Will definitely visit again

Fantastic food and friendly and efficient service. We regularly drive between Durham and Manchester and this was the perfect lunch stop. The confit duck with potato rosti was worthy of a high end restaurant, and the sausage and mash with onion gravy was well seasoned and proper comfort food. We'll definitely return

It was my first time visiting as I was invited to a birthday meal. The bar area was quite small. However, there were quite a lot of us, 27 in total, The service was very good, I had goats cheese starter and Braised Pork and Mustard Mash for mains, both were very nice, lots of choice of bar drinks and wines.

Date night with the wife here as i worked here when they were refurbishing the place last year and wanted to go back a sample the food and we was not disappointed in the food or service, the young lady at front of house was very polite and professional and is a credit to the place, food is exceptionally good a massive portions too ,the Mrs is very picky on poched eggs but she was extremely happy as it was perfect on her starter 😋 I had steak & ale pie as a main as I do in ever pub I visit and it was fantastic and a massive portion of chunky chips 😋. Chef your onion rings definitely need to go on the menu they are amazing and the batter is lovely👍😋 Even booked to come back and try a Sunday roast with the kids😋👍 Service/staff 10/10 Food 10/10 Value for money 10/10
