Called in here for lunch, we ordered 2 soup of the day with bread, 1goats cheese with rocket, pear and walnuts drizzled with honey served on a flatbread which we shared. The portions were excellent, add 1 beer 1 milkshake with whipped cream and a diet coke total bill under £30 which was great value for money.
The staff here were friendly and apologetic about the wait, which given it was lunchtime and they were full, it certainly wasn't excessive.
Called here again a couple of weeks later and was pleasantly surprised that the staff recognised us despite it being so busy on our 1st visit. Once again the food and service were excellent.

Great for breakfast/brunch but some brilliant lunch options too! Service is impeccable. Atmosphere marked 4/5 not because of anything particularly negative. It's just that they are a very successful cafe which is busy 100% of the time so seating can be tight and can be sometimes tricky to hear conversation. Love to go back again and again.

What a great place to stop for a drink and or a meal.
Very tasty food, friendly staff and a very interesting cafe with lots of history.
Clever decor inside, plus you can even have a table in the old bank vault.

First visit. 5 minute wait for a table but worth it. I had the chicken kebab from the specials board. Enjoyed a mixed berry smoothie and a massive slice of carrot cake. Slight flaw for me was that kebabs were served on a wooden board, a pet hate of mine. I'm sure if I'd mentioned this at the time, plate would have been substituted. Service with a smile and a joke made for a good dining experience.
Window seat gave a great view of the barbers over the road. Also entertaining 😆

Have a milk and egg allergy - they catered for it beautifully with a vegan breakfast with a side order of bacon. Truly delicious

First visit today for lunch. Always just walked past for some reason. Was very pleasant surprise. Nice atmosphere and different menu. My son had a bacon ,cranberry and brie ciabatta and I had soup. Both were tasty and arrived promptly. Young lady who served us was polite and friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Found seat, busy but good vibe.
Quick friendly service which accommodated my hubby as breakfast had just finished but they took his order. Food outstanding in taste and presentation. Quality from start to finish

Very small inside but the owner was very kind and the food was nice. At peak times I guess it will be hard to get a seat. I had soup and a sandwich. And it was nice.
