I took my wife here for her birthday yesterday and wow wot a place great quality and fanstasic food very helpful staff and a well presented modern feel pub and I highly recommended this also for the seal trips wich we booked here aswell thank you and we will visit again the only downside to our visit was the menu on line was out date and I could have wot I chose on line for both mains and desert

I wandered in this evening for dinner and a couple of drinks, pub was very busy but found me a table. Service was brilliant in spite of a full house, had a lovely dinner and never for one moment felt neglected. Superb service and excellent attentive staff, especially the young lady who was rushing around serving tables and clearing up so others could eat. Brilliant! Than you all.

We both couldn’t resist the fish and chips as our main course. The haddock was super fresh (and massive!) and the Winter’s Golden beer batter was light and crispy. Served with a piquant and chunky homemade tartare sauce, the haddock practically melted in my mouth. The triple cooked chips were perfect, as was the pea puree with its vibrant, fresh flavour. We enjoyed the ambience and friendly service so much, we decided to linger a little longer. Paulo ordered dessert… a generous pot of vanilla crème brûlée, served with honeycomb ice cream. Tiny bits of honeycomb scattered over the wooden board made for a lovely presentation and an unexpected treat for me, as I nibbled away at the sweet, crunchy chunks.

Friendly and welcoming traditional pub with a flagstone floor, low lighting and (slightly sticky) tables. There's a small range of lagers and ales on offer. The menu is mostly different types of fish and chips. If you sit in the restaurant the food comes on plates, if you sit in the bar it comes in cardboard boxes. The chips are very good but the highlight for us were the deep fried cadburys cream eggs! They are amazing!

Popped in on our way to Wells-next-the-Sea and had the best fish and chips I've ever had. The decor is of a very high standard as well. If you're ever in the area it's a must visit.

I was a little worried when we stood at the bar to order for 5-10mins but once served, staff were friendly and food came quickly & was nice. Nice fresh fish & a decent veggie option.

Advertised as a fish and chip pub, and didn't disappoint! Great portions, fish cooked in lard. (Delicious!) Also had crab salad which was beautiful and fresh. Friendly service too.

The best option to dine coming back from the seal trip. The cozy restaurant serves daily special seafood. Would highly recommend twice baked cheese soufflé as well. Nice staff, artistic decoration of paintings and excellent sanitation.

I had Scampi and chips and a large coke. The food was lovely and the staff were very polite and helpful. I'd revisit without a doubt.

Pizzas were good and service pretty quick. Probably similar elsewhere but around £50 for two 12" pizzas and a couple of drinks seems a lot.
