Amazing fish & chips to take away that was open on a Tuesday! Crispy, fresh & delicious fish. Friendly service. We pre-ordered as was a larger group & it was ready within a few minutes of us arriving to collect. Thank you Happy Customers.
Lovely fish and chips. The staff are lovely and friendly with a good sense of humour. Chip the dog is beautiful and up for a cuddle. A must for all to try they also do seafood which equally looked delicious.
Great find this chip shop is in a very small village.
You can order your take away and grab a pint from the pub opposite or play with 'chip' the lovely dog outside the chip shop!
Order lobster, prawns and a variety of other seafood too, it's great!
Lovely fish and chips, some of the best Iβve had in a long time. Sat in the nearby park to eat them. Prices are slightly higher than the menu shown on Google but it was still reasonable. Get the haddock!
Food was great. Polite, friendly staff. Lovely fish and chips - cooked perfectly with well seasoned, tasty batter. Also ordered a battered sausage with chips and curry sauce - the curry sauce was amazing, just as I remember from my childhood - mild and full of flavour. Chips again were perfectly cooked and very generous. Food was served in bags which I was sceptical about when I first looked at them but food stayed fresh and crispy π
We actually tried another local chip shop in Woolacombe another day and they were no competition at all!! Expensive and small portions in comparison!
Not sure if Mortehoe open longer in the peak season?! but would have certainly used Mortehoe over any other local chippy and would definitely recommend. Will be back next year π
First Class F&C this evening. Very hot (which is great as we took them back to the site) tasty, no aftertaste of oil/cooking fat. Really great fish and chips. Thank you.

We had the Crevettes salad bowl and the lobster salad bowl. Both exceptional, the crevettes (8) were big and tasty and my husband had the half lobster, so much meat and the salads were tasty and varied, coleslaw, potato salad, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, peppers and lettuce. All in all a brilliant tasty alternative to the usual fish and chips
Lovely fish and chips, friendly service, bit strange that you order from the window and then wait for your order outside but that gave me the opportunity to order a pint from the pub over the road whilst waiting π

We stumbled upon this fish and chip shop by chance. It was wonderful the staff first class. We sat outside watching the world pass by while eating our wonderful fish and chips.
