On 8 July, at the start of our holiday, we visited your shop in Fortrose, queue was out the door yet your staff dealt with the customers welcoming and calmly, and behind the counter a hive of activity, everyone knowing their job and getting orders out quickly and efficiently. Fantastic food which was still piping hot on arrival at our holiday cottage approx. 10 minutes from Fortrose. On 9 July, we went to Channonry Point and were welcomed once again by friendly staff at your ice cream van. Asking where we came from and were we enjoying our holiday as well as great service and tasty ice cream. Excellent service all round however we were totally blown away by the kindness of one of your delivery drivers on the evening of 13 July (around 11.00pm) when my husband and I were on our way back to our Holiday cottage from being at A&E at Raigmore and were approx 5 mins from Tore when we pulled over to allow a vehicle to overtake, this vehicle (we didn't know it was one of your vans) didn't overtake but stopped alongside us and the man asked if everything was OK and did we need any help. Your staff should be highly commended for their work ethic, care for others and all round customer care . AWESOME

Fabulous, just fabulous! I asked for 2 x Jumbo haddock & small chips and it was well worth the wait whilst the fish was perfectly cooked. It had firm, pure white skinless flakes that tasted deliciously sweet, all encased in non-greasy superb batter. The chips were excellent too, again non-greasy. It all went down a treat back at our holiday cottage a few miles away. The staff were very pleasant too. Well done all.

5 stars all round for Jaki, EPIC FOOD, EPIC SERVICE & EPIC ENTERTAINMENT! If you haven’t been yet? What are you waiting for? Get yourself down there to meet one of the most entertaining characters on planet earth……….. Lycra legend Magic Mike & I came across Jaki’s Fish & Chip Shop when we arrived here whilst on our NC500 cycle adventure. We asked around in the village about where is the best place to get a good takeaway? We were told by CO-OP Colin ‘Chief Aisle Stacker’ to stay clear of Jaki’s chip shop because she is rather unstable and she may eat you if you enter the shop? He also told us about how she partied & celebrated the Queens death!!!! 😬 Yes, you read that right. she celebrated our late Queen’s death because she thought she was LIZARD! She made worldwide news and became topic of conversation in various countries around the world. Others in the village also commented about how we should stay clear of Jaki’s as she is ‘BONKERS’ and that her fish tastes like leather anyway 🧐 this meant we only really had one option, we had to meet the famous Jaki for ourselves & make our own minds up as to whether she really is crazy or not & whether her fish really does taste like leather…… The minute we walked into the chip shop, we were greeted with a great smile, we were made to feel so welcome straight away & we saw a fantastic menu. First impressions great. After some initial chit chat with the owner Jaki, she asked us if we knew what she was famous for? We obviously didn’t let on that CO-OP Colin had given us a low down so we played dumb….. Jaki then poured her heart out to us & explained to us how she’d been victimised for having an opinion about our late Queen. She went on to tell us how her chippy empire had struggled since she celebrated on the village High Street with champagne over the Queen’s death. She also went on to describe some of her other views in regards to the Royal family & our politicians. Here’s the thing………… In our opinion, after meeting her & sampling her fish & chips, we can confirm that her food is INCREDIBLE ***** we can also categorically confirm that her fish does not taste like leather or beef jerky! We can also confirm we didn’t feel threatened or intimidated by Jaki either, so chief aisle stacker COLIN needs to stop spreading his diseased remarks about our Jaki. We found her so friendly & highly entertaining. Yes Jaki was bang out of order for throwing a party outside her chip shop when the Queen died, 1 million % out of order in the world that we live in. We both loved the Queen so it isn’t something we could ever comprehend doing or participating in our world. However, we aren’t in Jaki’s world so she feels she has done nothing wrong. Unfortunately for her because of her views & opinions, she has had to deal with the aftermath & consequences, from poor reviews to vandalism. To conclude, we would say…… if your in the area & want an epic tasty takeaway drop in & trial the food because it really is delicious. Ignore the infected diseased negative villagers like CO-OP Colin and Morag (she’s another normal local) if you don’t visit Jaki’s you would be missing out on a story that will last with you a lifetime because she really is the most intriguing, interesting, fascinating, tad eccentric (slightly bonkers but in a good way) and entertaining characters I have ever met in my 40 years of life and she cooks INSANE food 🔥🔥🔥 Next time Jaki, maybe have your party in your house instead of the village high street next time somebody as influential as the Queen passes away, that way you won’t need to replace your shop windows. Maybe dial down the LIZARD views regarding the late Queen as well. This is only my advice though as I really don’t want you to lose the last chippy of your empire, our plan is to revisit in the future so we can get the opportunity to re-live the surreal moment again & taste your incredible food to. All the best Jaki, please take our review as a positive 🤌🏼 your number 1 customers, Lycra legend Magic Mike and TCR TARBS #freeyourminds xxxxxxxx

THE best chippy I’ve ever had!! It was so fresh, beautiful soft fish with a crispy batter, lovely tasty chips, kids had sausages & they really loved them. We also had a white pudding which was to die for! And tasty homemade coleslaw, it was all SO good and the staff were so lovely, friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.

Called in here after hearing their advertising campaign on the radio. Great food priced competitively which came from an immaculately clean premises. Jackie the owner came out while we were waiting and had a chat. Lovely lady who gave the kids some freebies, well deserving of 5 stars.

It was our 1st stay at Muir of Ord & we popped it for a takeaway to Jaki fish & chips. There was so much choice but went for the white pudding supper & wasn't disappointed 😋. Probably the best I have ever had. Highly recommended! & staff friendly.

My family and I were visiting Beauly from Paisley and were looking for a chippy in the area and we came across this little beaut.. Jaki's. The food was delicious. We had to wait sometime (not excessive) for our food, as it was cooked to order and they had a few orders before ours. It was worth the wait, and everyone raved about the fish. My niece and I had the 'hamburger supper' (battered sausage supper, is what they call it here, so don't get caught out, when ordering). We hope to fit in another visit before we head home. It's a great chippy!

Really enjoyed this place, was staying up the road at a local hotel, I was in the mood for fish and chips so went here as it was close by. Really enjoyed both the fish as it was nice and crispy without being soggy and the chips were really nice and tasty. If I'm ever back up that way i would certainly go back.

Quite simply the best fish and chips I've had in years. Crispy batter, nice fish, well cooked chips, none of it greasy at all. We will be back!

Chips were amazing. We waited half an hour though as the buzzer which they gave us to wait in our car wasn't working so waited unnecessarily as they never came to find us a few cars away. Other than that great and would definitely return!
