I’ve eaten at MK the George several times, the service and food is always outstanding. I’ve come over to leave a comment today after seeing on Walesonline the local authority had unfairly rated it a one star.
I’m pretty sure half the celebrities in Mumbles wouldn’t go there if this rating was warranted 👍

Had mushroom topped with leek and welsh rarebit to start. Absolutely stunning and nice and hot. For main had hake with asparagus, king prawn and cheese sauce which was delicious and cooked to perfection. All the side vegetables were beautiful too. Cannot fault any of it. Nicest meal I've had out in years!! Highly recommended and definitely go again 👍

The restaurant is really nicely laid out, open and airy.
My friends and I opted for the lunch menu, and all of our meals were delicious. Risotto, Mackrell pate, sword fish....and the cheesecake was perfect to finish off the meal!!
The service was excellent too. I'll definitely be going back and would recommend it.

You may remember Knight’s from the time when the Mumbles Mile was still a madhouse; The George comes from the same stable but is a very different vibe, relaxed and spacious with elevated views of the bay. It is surely the best restaurant interior in Mumbles.
We chose from the fish and vegan options within the tapas menu, everything was excellent, and promptly served. Highlights included the warm salad, whitebait and prawns.
A delightful experience, next time we will sample the fish menu.

Wife and I visited here yesterday first time. Had a stunning 2 course meal. Excellent choice and value. Quality of food was very good. The members of staff who served us were excellent and always on hand. Will definitely be coming back and we travelled over 25 miles to get there. Thanks again.

Absolutely the best place in Mumbles to eat. The food is exceptional and we had a fabulous lunch for 4 of us. It’s always busy there, which tells its own story, but the food never falls below top notch.

Fabulous meal & evening again at MK's the food is really delicious. The position location & decor also adds to the experience.
There is a lot of fish options and a few veggie choices as well as tapas. We eat upstairs in the restaurant however there is tables downstairs for anyone who is not able to walk upstairs as there is no lift. Would definately recommend this restaurant in Mumbles for any occasion.
There is parking available outside on tge road or in the carpark opposite.

A boy called Jacob served us. I could not have asked for any better service. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon. They also do half price drinks for happy hour on Fridays (5.30pm-6.30pm).

Such a shame that my first experience of the George was awful! After waiting over an hour for food went up to see where it was only to be told there was a big group upstairs that the chef was still seeing to and they couldn't say when the food would be with us, we were running out of time on the parking so decided it best to ask for a refund on the food and leave only to be left with no apology but a very sarcastic 'Good luck finding somewhere else to eat at this time' from the manager who refunded us! Awful service would not recommend or return again.

We called in on Easter Sunday for Sunday Lunch ..The portions were so small, we thought it was a starter!! The meat was extremely tough couldn't eat it !! The chicken looked as if it had been thrown in a fat fryer. No meat on it at all!! Portions again for dessert were a disgrace .. very expensive mistake for the four of us .. it was our friends Wedding Anniversary.. which suppose to be our treat .. definitely would not recommend for anyone to call in for a meal !!

Realy good nt. Everyone made welcome. Service very good and ther was about 45 of us. Food was very good, my stake was cooked perfect and good portion sizes aswell. The wifes desert was huge.��. Will go again

Sadly enough disappointing. Everyone arrived at once so they were pushed. An overseas couple waited an hour for starters. We know as we were on an adjacent table and heard the disappointment. Poor advertising for Mumbles. Us we only waited around 40 mins. That was ok but it was cold on arrival. My order was incomplete. Second dinner arrived after my wife eat alone. That was also incorrect but for the hassle I eat it. As we left a family cancelled their meal as they had been waiting an hour or so which is not good with little ones. Service chap was very nice.. Not enough staff. Best go when quite and it's fine. Disappointing. Hope it improves..

We would like to say a massive thank you to the team! We hosted our parents 50th wedding anniversary here this weekend and the day couldn’t have gone better. The two gentlemen looking after us made sure everything was taken care of and any extra requests were sorted straight away - they couldn’t have done more! They even helped us arrange parking right outside so our parents didn’t have to find a parking space and walk all the way back. (It was a very busy day) The food was gorgeous - everyone enjoyed and we were very happy that all 12 meals were delivered at the same time very quickly after ordering. Both ourselves and our guests will definitely be returning! 5�

The service was okay but the food was dreadful. The Taverners chicken was overcooked and dry. The bacon was cremated and inedible with a burnt covering of cheese. The jacket potato was nice. Will never go back and will certainly NOT recommend

Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and the food was very good. Definitely worth another visit but hopefully, the next time, they will have had all their deliveries so the Sunday roast would be back on.

We were looking for a nice place to eat in mumbles and this was perfect! We had lovely meals at reasonable prices for a popular Welsh destination. The staff were very accommodating. The Cod and Chips is to die for!

Food was average. The couple on the table next to us left mid way through their meal due to the curry dish being dirty I believe. I had the taverners chicken and first reaction was it looked over done. The chicken was burnt so difficult to chew but aside from that the chips and salad were ok. The place was almost empty and service took longer than average. I wouldn't be rushing back by any means.
