We had an early dinner here, we hadn't booked in advance but had over an hour before the next booking which was plenty time. I wanted lasagne but they didn't have any, so went with a chicken dish which was very good and generous portion. Husband had a pizza and thought the Italian sausage was a bit sparse. Reasonable value, if we visit the area again I would be happy to go back there.

I’m really thankful for the team fitting me in on a very busy night.
It did mean that I had to go upstairs which is the noisy part of the restaurant but I was happy with that. I’d already been turned away from one place. I’ve not been used to company for a couple of weeks as I’d been hiking, so it was kinda fun to hear all the banter.
The girls looked after me really well, and brought my food out before the group table so it meant only a short wait. Yay!
The food was great, garlic bread and a Caprese pizza. 2 Prosecco’s. I was happy with the price.
It really hit the spot and warmed me up.

the last time I went to the Caprice was 20 years ago and it was empty lacked atmosphere and frankly i wasnt going to go back but NOW its fabulous the staff were amazing the owner there and working with his staff the food was great it was full of people . I enjoyed it, we are all going back next month . worth giing

Was there for my father in laws 70th birthday. There was 7 of us and no complaints. Food was delicious and staff were very efficient, polite and friendly. Would recommend and return to this restaurant.

The restaurant was busier than I expected for an early booking in a Sunday. It was good as it gave the restaurant a bit of an atmosphere.
I wanted a seafood spaghetti which unfortunately was not on the menu however the waitress checked with the chef and he offered to adapt one of the items so that I got what I wanted!

The areas that could be better:
🍝 I've been a few times, sometimes the food is great but sometimes it's not as good. The food is a bit inconsistent, but the food is never bad.
🍨 The biggest reason for the 4 ⭐️ review was the tiramisu. Tiramisu is my favourite dessert, but the Caprice version with a chocolate finger and sprinkles doesn't work for me 🌧
Overall, this was more of a 4.5 experience and was so close to 5, but an improved tiramisu and consistency, then this is surely a 5 ⭐️ experience. Keep up the friendly environment and the homely feel!! Worth a visit 🇮🇹

I was brought up in Musselburgh and used to love the caprice. This was my first time back in many years and it didn't disappoint. Food was still as good - love their pizza 😍. Good atmosphere - even in these times!
