Every now and again I like to treat my mother and attempt to broaden her horizons (I’ve covered her fussiness before), and with this in mind I decided I would take her to my favourite ‘upmarket’ restaurant in my local town of Nantwich. Since 2007 Residence has occupied a striking and beautiful building in the heart of the town (built in the 17th century as a Georgian mansion house, and previously home to Lord Mayor of London, Edmund Wright).
Excellent. Enjoyed a great birthday meal here, the setting is beautiful and opulent and the meal was delicious. Our waitress was lovely and very friendly.
Would also recommend the bar, only place to go for fantastic cocktails made by friendly bar men in a chic setting. Recommend the Forbidden Fruit cocktail.
The Residence looks very upmarket and expensive, but looks are deceiving. The prices are reasonable and the decor is fantastic. Ample free private parking in front of the building. The food is great and we have been there a few times. They also have a very large wine and liquor list and the bar area is very trendy.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine in a perfectly comfortable and well-serviced interior. Sophisticated and modern interior to enjoy a drink along with your chosen meal. Usually not normally a busy restaurant but definitely worth a look into with alright prices for high quality food. Good for large groups and also for meals with friend's or a loved one.
Lovely place to eat! First time I'd ever been and I wasn't dissappointed, I ordered the Cod fillet and it was amazing, tasted great and it arrived at the perfect temperature to start eating. Staff were wonderful and happy to help you with anything you needed. The decor in there was pleasant too which added to the experience.
Overall 10/10, will definitely be returning!
What initially looked like would be a very expensive lunch, was actually surprisingly good value.
Lovely atmosphere and great service, we went for the apparently simple sandwich platter, but wow, absolutely spot on and beyond.
I know its corny to say, but probably best sarnie I've had in a long long time.
Will definitely be visiting again, as we prepare to move house to the area very soon.. ..
Enjoyed a really lovely birthday lunch here on 09/02/18. The food was delicious (although I could have easily managed a larger portion) and the cocktails were amazing. As it was a late lunch it wasn't too busy and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I was particular impressed by the young man behind the bar who served me his own award winning cocktail who was justifiably proud of his creation! The building is a hidden little gem and beautifully decorated. Will definitely be returning and I highly recommend!
The food here is really good and has improved dramatically in the last 5 years. Excellent restaurant setting too and the lunch special is a great deal for £19 / 3 courses. Full bar and knowledgeable bartender compliments. Bar can be busy at the weekends but good atmosphere.
A group of us went for a joint birthday party in August. They roped off some of the bar area for us, so we could have pre-dinner drinks. We then had a couple of long tables in the restaurant and had delicious food. The staff are really great and helpful. It was so good we've booked to go again for a Christmas party!
