Visited about 10 minutes before closing time so knew I'd be pushing my luck for a availability of the full menu.
As soon as I entered I was asked if I wanted fish as they were just on the last of the batter, after that they weren't making any more fish as they were closing. The fryer was quite open that he wouldn't be starting to cook anything else that time of night. If it was already on the counter then that was the choice.
Customers that came in after me were grumbling that there was no more fish and that they wouldn't cook any more, before leaving.
What did the customers expect turning up a few minutes before closing!
Some may describe the attitude of the fryer as rude; I didn't think so, it made me smile. He was just honest.
And as a bonus the chips were great!

Love this establishment.
It's busy here which is a good sign.
Food is freshly fried and served with a smile.
Definitely recommend the food from here and will be returning again.
Parking can be a bit hit and miss in Narberth but a lap around the town will usually find a space.

We visited this place twice while on holiday. Its the best chippy I have had in years. The chips are delicious the peas were the best I've ever had. The staff in the evening are much more friendly than the ones in the day. We had batter bits specially made to go with the chips. I cant fault this chippy. I highly recommend. A bit expensive but worth it.

The best fish and chips I've had in west wales so far. Ive been living here for a year and a half and was very disappointed with the shoddy chip shops in the Cardigan, St Dogmaels area. I had a great portion of fresh chips here with some succulent fish with cripsy batter. Now atleast I know where to get a decent chippy dinner from 🙂

After visiting Contented Sole and filling my tummy with their absolutely delicious fish and chips, I was most definitely a Contented Soul 😋😊
The staff are very friendly and the prices reasonable.
The fish is always freshly cooked - not left in the oven like in many other fish and chip shops and the chips are crisp and soft with an amazing morish flavour.
I recently moved from London to Narberth and after experiencing the fish and chips from Contented Sole there is no way I would ever return to England again!
Highly recommend.

The chips are really nice here but haven't had anything else. Atmosphere-wise there's not much going on as it's quite a small space to sit down and eat.

As a visitor to Narberth we looked at reviews for local fish and chip shops as we always do in a strange area.
We were almost put off by a few of the previous comments but decided to judge for ourselves.
The service was first class, quick, polite and friendly. The fish was cooked to order and was quality cod in light batter. The chips were great.
We all agree that 5 stars are warranted here.

Very fussy about my cod and chips. Staying at Bluestone and ventured out for Fridays tea. Excellent thick fresh white fish and decent chips too. Recommended.

Amazing fish and chips shop, the staff there michelle and faith have fantastic customer service with a smile and made my day interacting with them, makes a huge difference how you are treated as a customer and I will be returning if for no reason other than that.
The food is also amazing, the chips are perfect every time.
Best chippy around!

We were camping near Narbeth and dropped in to buy fish and chips and other meals for 18 people, the lad behind the counter was lovely, served us all, kept his cool with our big orders, he was fab!! Fish and chips cooked to perfection, thanks chef!! Clearly a great team. Keep up the good work guys. We shall be back
