Freshly cooked fish. By how do we stop fish getting soggy bottoms - surely if the batter's cooked through then it shouldn't happen?

Great chippy, visited today for the first time, don't really know Nelson so just stumbled upon it. Nice and clean, comprehensive menu & all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Ordered fish and chips, fish was a quality cut and was cooked to order, lovely texture and the right amount of batter. Portion size was very generous - I couldn't manage all my chips - but the fish was too nice to leave any!
Price was very reasonable, given the quality and decent portion. I'll definitely be calling again when I visit Nelson.

Best chippy in town! Brilliant fish and chips with amazing customer service. Enjoy going here and being served well. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Situated in a prime location. There is no indoor seating but the food is well packaged to take home or work. The workers are super hardworking and friendly, providing great service each time. Would definitely recommend 10/10
