Reviews of Pilot Boat

First time I've been in since the refurbishment and new owners. Very impressed. Perfect pub grub choices for food. Reasonable prices and very generous portions! The size of the home cooked chips have to be seen to be believed. We both thought the food was delicious and the new decor was fab. Great place to eat, will definitely recommend and definitely be back soon.

I arrived unintentionally just before the breakfast deadline and so could not resist ordering the Pilot Boat special breakfast. WOW, there was double bacon, sausage, egg, black pudding and hash browns, and mushrooms and beans (could have been a bit warmer, microwaved perhaps?) with buttered toast so crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. 10/10. The beer and service were excellent too. I will return for more!

We had our Christmas girl's meal out last night, and all 9 of us were very impressed. Very generous portions, and affordable prices. 2 courses at £19.99 and £23.00 for 3. Food was home cooked, really tasty , and the staff were great, very attentive, and accommodating. Only suggestion is for the people who the ordered Christmas dinner, would have liked a bit more gravy, so maybe a little gravy boat might have been a good idea? But we were having such a lovely time, we didnt even ask, so no big deal, sure if we had it wouldn't have been an issue. I am really looking forward to coming back with my family, and sampling the every day menu. The refurbishment looks very nice, and singer came on later which added to the atmosphere. A very enjoyable evening, excellent food, fantastic value, and brilliant staff! Well done to the team, keep up the good work!! 😁

It was my first visit since the recent refurbishment, and I must say that standards have been maintained, if not improved. My son(s) and I tend to call in for the breakfast, before going for a walk next to the river. The 'standard' order is great at £7.45, and I was more than pleased when informed that the price includes a regular Americano coffee too! We waited no longer than 10 minutes to be served, and I honestly had no complaints about the quality of the food, and value for money. We'll definitely be back!

Popped in after some friends suggested this place, the bar man /waiter was very helpful and attentive,and the food was all home cooked and really tasty, lovely quiet atmosphere and just a stones throw from New Brighton promenade if you fancy a walk after lunch,will be going back definitely ,but the toilets could do with a hand dryer,not paper towels 👍
