Run by a friendly and kind husband and wife team, this fish & chip shop sells great food. The fish in batter is always crisp and tasty, whilst the chips are delicious, as are the mushy peas.
Fish and chip shops are disappearing, so go visit and don't let this one disappear too.

A little gem! Reasonably priced with generous portions. We always have cod and chips, which are so fresh, it's a pleasure to eat. Lovely, happy lady serving always remembers her customers' names. Her husband cooks the food to perfection and can phone your order in for a swift collection. CASH ONLY. There is an atm machine close to shop, a couple of doors away.

Bought haddock and chips and a sausage in batter. My mum had a saveloy and chips. The lovely lady gave us a free jumbo sausage too as it was closing time. Lovely service and delicious food. 10/10

Seriously good fish and chips. Its by no means my closest and I drive past about 6 or 7 f&c shops on my way here but it really is that good. Definitely worth giving a try, I'm so glad I did. Will definitely continue coming here..

Fantastic chippy!!!
Food cooked to perfection, great prices and friendly owners - this is the only chippy I've found south of the M62 which does properly good "chippy food", and I've studied hard over many years.

Seriously the best fish and chips ever. We love going to the Lucky Fish Bar and have been for years - always top quality food. I always have fish & chips - it is a very generous portion size. The mushy peas and curry sauce are also nice. They also do a veggie saysage option but yet to try that. The fish cakes are good too! So lots of options. We usually ring in advance to order then pick up. The staff are brilliant and friendly. Thanks for everything!

Nice little local fish and chip shop with a good selection of food (including a few vegetarian (non-meat or fish) dishes)at reasonable prices- although no meal deals. They also have generous portions of chips.

Wow. Just grabbed a small bag of chips at the Lucky fish bar... not so small. Not only great chips but great service. When they added the salt and vinegar it was added in stages so all chips tasted as good. Place looks spotless and the service had a real personal touch.
The fish they cooked for another customer looked wonderful to, again huge portion.
