My parents stay here everytime they come to visit. They can't speak highly enough of the place. We usually go for a meal when they're here and the food is really nice and the staff are lovely. Definitely recommend!
We recently spent a week near here, and this was the only place we returned to for a second time! The Sunday roast was awesome, and the menu later on in the week was so varied, all 5 of us had a choice. Every plate was emptied, the staff all friendly and very helpful, and it was nice to be given the chance to give chat to the chef and give him our compliments. If ever we are back that way, we will definitely be eating there.
Popped here for food and a drink after a hike in the area. Menu catered for everything from GF to Vegan, local ingredients made the dishes special and the couple who run this place are so friendly and authentic. Would 100% eat here again and would go as far to say I’d even like to try the rooms so I could relax with a drink for the night.

Great little BnB, such accommodating hosts. Bed was very comfortable and the views from the window stunning. Lovely beer garden, would have liked to see an ale on draft but I guess if it's not busy they wouldn't get through it. Steak dinner was delicious! All in all cannot fault
Lovely old pub. Great food. And the couple that run the pub are very welcoming and friendly well worth stopping by if you're in the area.
Stopped in on the way to Wales - beautiful garden, delicious chips and lovely friendly owners. Now so pleased the road was closed and we couldn't access the local services - this is much better.

Odette and David are very welcoming and friendly and always make our stay comfortable and excellent value. We gave them a ring to check a couple of things beforehand and they were most helpful, and it was cheaper than using other sites etc.
Spent our 25th wedding anniversary at The Red Lion. David and Odette are wonderful hosts. Our three course meal was exceptional, all cooked to perfection. We stayed the night in a lovely cosy room with a view of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The amazing breakfast next morning rounded off a wonderful experience.
Had an excellent dinner here - best meal I've eaten in the area bar none! Staff very friendly and chef came out to chat. Highly recommend. Both good eating and warm welcome.
