Bit off a mixed bag, really. We went for lunch, that's me, my wife and my parents who are in their eighties. The service from ordering to the food arriving on the table was very slow, although it's a big venue it wasn't overly crowded. I asked for a medium rare stake and got a well-done one. But
We called in the Old Post Office for lunch on Saturday. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar. Three meals and drinks for £25. Reasonable prices and reasonable portions. The food was well presented and the staff were friendly and very helpful. A very enjoyable experience.
Nice, warm and clean restaurant in Newark. Like wetherspoon. Good for family with kids.
One of the best pubs I have been into this year. Still serve beer in dimple mugs on request.
Very pleasant customer service.
For a town centre pub excellent.
I loved it and it was busy with people with dogs. Just goes to show how a dog friendly venue can be successful. Lovely lunch. I had a lovely meat pie and my dad had traditional fish and chips. Definitely will be returning
Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere will definitely be going there again really enjoyed our lunch and time there.
We've never been here before and wanted to try somewhere different. The choice and prices were really good and the food was delicious. We will be back!
Very pleasant staff, good service from Kieran. Didn't eat this time around, but looked great coming out of the kitchen
Ordered our food at the bar. People were ordering food after I placed my order. Receiving their food first. Had to ask twice where my order was. Even said when I placed my order we were catching a bus in one hour.
We had a good visit, Tuesday early teatime, there was no one in to be honest but ser ice was very quick and the food was great. I think this will become a local for us
Although by a busy road, you don't seem to notice it. The food is fantast, and service with a smile 😃 highly recommend a great place for a catch-up with friends .
