The service was excellent. The staff were rushed due to there being a wedding party who needed looking after. Despite that service was great and food was served hot and promptly. We also stayed the day after for breakfast and Kay was once again excellent and welcoming - served with a lot of attention! Would recommend without any hesitation

Not been for ages. Booked table for 3 via phone but upon arrival head scratching ensued and was told to pick any free table. This was the only negative but wasn't packed so no bother. Food was lovely and hot. Definitely back again soon.

It's pretty basic pub grub at lunch we went for. Had the small fish n chips and everything was crisp and tasty and served promptly.

Food decent as always and pub atmosphere great. Only feedback I would say is that the waitress took our plates while one person still eating but she was very friendly and very young so just a minor training isdue

Good Accommodation
I have been using The Olde House for a number of years for accommodation when I am in the area. I was greeted by Paul who was really helpful and welcominng.
There is a small car park near the accommodation building however the main customer car park is really big so plenty of parking.
Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, breakfast was quick and very good.
Another pleasent stay.

Overall a very positive experience. Very accommodating with children’s preferences. Waitress ( table 12) very efficient and attentive. Cared about the customer experience. There was no draught beer available at point of order as the barrels were being changed but were expected to be online soon so beer was purchased. The delay was longer than usual but she kept us updated and was concerned that the meal would be finished before the drink arrived and we agreed on an alternative. We all agreed that she provided excellent service

We got married here on Saturday 5th August 2023 and had the best day of our lives! Highly recommended for any couple searching for the right place to tie the knot!
We had our whole wedding day here, starting with our ceremony in The Needham Room followed by our reception in The Mullen Suite. The whole day was very well organised and everything went to plan as we imagined. The food was amazing, we chose to have the hot cobs buffet for our main wedding meal (they also have the option to have a 2/3 course meal too) and it did not disappoint - extremely good value for money and included a large selection of food and high quality meat for our guests. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests about how amazing the food was. For our evening guests we chose to have the cold buffet, which again was amazing quality and value for money.
We can't thank everyone enough at The Olde House for the exceptional service you gave us on our big day. Especially to Julie (manager) and Tracy (events manager) for everything you did for us such as calming our nerves before the ceremony and making sure everything was perfect for us - you were truly incredible.
We highly recommend The Olde House for your wedding day, it is very affordable compared to most wedding venues and offers exceptional service - they make your wedding day exactly how you want it to be!

Stayed here for 5 nights and I have to say that the service was beyond 5 stars!!! It was amazing. The manager and staff (Kay was amazing!) made us feel very special- it felt like our home away from home! We felt very comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was wonderful. The Mac and Cheese and tomato soup was my fav! Again, KUDOS to this top notch staff!
