Fabulous find in Newbury. I received such a wonderful warm welcome from the new managers Matt and Maria. Their staff members Daisy and Jordan (the newly appointed chef) were also super friendly and knowledgeable. The locals were a delight to chat to and they allow dogs too! The garden was a great outdoor space for sun worshippers but also plenty of shade for those that prefer it! With beautiful flower baskets made locally adorning the surrounding private fencing and twinkling lights in the evening. They have a great space for functions at the back of the pub and a separate room for games inc pool! TVs are a plenty for watching the news and some sport. The food was top notch. The burger so tasty I didn’t capture a picture before devouring! I heard the roast was pretty good too! A wonderful experience in a welcoming, clean, relaxing, friendly pub. I will be back!

Staff, landlords, locals are all so welcoming. The beers are clean and crisp, the whole place including rooms upstairs are clean and it smells lovely and homely. My 5 year old was very comfortable in the pub, Daisy behind the bar was friendly and made us all feel at home. Thank you all for your hospitality, we'll be having another 4 hour drive to see you all soon.

A great pub near to the centre of town with plenty of parking and space inside. Loads of character and the new managers are making great headway with updating the place. Pleased to hear some decent music and got great service from the staff. Definitely worth a go, especially if you haven’t been in a while (like me).

We ate in The Greek table on a Saturday afternoon and we absolutely loved everything - the vibe, food, and the experience. We came here for the meze, and we got so full from the food servings. We loved how accommodating and helpful the staff members were, even explaining all the food as they were served as well as which sauce complements them - something that we did not experience in Cyprus. Overall great food and experience, will definitely come back!
