Gostos

This is hands on the best place in Newcastle-under-Lyme!!! Everything was spot on. The food is fantastic, and everything we ordered was just a joy to eat. Try their peri peri chicken and you will not regret it🤤🤤 The service was welcoming and the venue itself fit the rest of the experience perfectly. The owner has such a fabulous personality. He suggested trying their homemade sauce and it was incredibly tasty. After that, he invited me to speak to his kitchen staff when he found out that they are my compatriots. I am extremely happy that I visited this restaurant. Going back soon🍴🍗🧆

After our booking for a neighbouring business fell through, we scrambled to find an alternative venue on short notice and happened across Gostos Grill. Arriving at Gostos, we were apprehensive since online it had seemed more of a takeaway, rather than a restaurant; we were pleasantly surprised however to find a quaint, well maintained diner, with pleasant mexican themed decor reminiscent of Chiquitos, and very accommodating staff. The food we ordered seemed a little overpriced at first glance, but it's quality was undeniable and all of our party enjoyed their meals without complaint. Between us we tried a wide array of dishes, from starters to desserts, none of which were less than delicious. As we were wrapping up the evening, the friendly bloke who had been looking after us all night took a group photo of us in sombreros, and then literally returned with a guitar and played us a little solo of Hero by Enrique! Superb night, fantastic venue, amazing staff. Definitely recommend.

Impromptu tea out we were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere and how polite the staff are here. We ordered from the peri grill and and The burger section, when the meal arrived it was perfectly presented everywhere was spotless. They offer cakes and milkshakes we didn't try this time but definitely next time we dine here. Keep up the fantastic work 🙂🙂

Lovely place to eat. Our waiter Johanna was great, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure we were comfortable in the heat, suggesting we sit by the open door, bringing iced water, making suggestions about the menu and ensuring our food was perfect. And the food was perfect, generous portions and that bit different to other places, presentation good too. The mojitos are delicious and worth coming back for. This is my second time to eat in after having takeaways and the staff really make you welcome.

Had a lovely dinner here. Definitely recommend the steak fajitas and the margheritas (non alcoholic). So tasty and rich. The manager and team were absolutely lovely and gave us a very warm welcome (some other places should learn from this place🤣). We didn't have room for dessert but the waffles looked amazing! Good for locals they'll soon be opening at lunchtime.
