First time here and definitely won’t be the last. The food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. The Takeshi’s Basil is the perfect dessert. Had the Mother Clucker, Prawn Star and Duck Me Daddy, prepared so fresh that the chicken was still hot! And the team were incredibly friendly, attentive and informative. Cannot fault the place. It's a charming small spot in the heart of Newcaste where you can only eat shushi. They adhere to tradition by not using forks at all. The food was presented and explained beautifully. The flavour was also excellent. The staff were polite, and the prices were extremely fair. We did not wait much time to get seated and served. Overall, it was a pleasant and with variety experience.

Visited because we are sushi fans and this was the highest rated sushi place in Newcastle. And the sushi was fabulous, really enjoyed it. I had the California-cation and my partner had the Attenborough. Will be back next time we are in the area to try more of their signature urumaki rolls. Only slight negative was the oddly high table.
