An enjoyable experience all round. Whilst quite simple, the food was tasty and well prepared. Service was excellent, as was the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant over the various levels. Have recommended to friends, and will gladly return.

Visiting Newcastle and decided visit Kafeneon as had enough of fried food. Staff are amazing and good communication.
Food was absolutely spot on, felt like I went back to Greece. Massive portions and great selection. Definitely worth a visit!

Kafeneon is well worth a visit. Food is great and they make really good coffee. Staff is great always friendly and helpful. Place looks great inside out since refurb was done. We come here as a couple or with kids and always have great experience.

Loved our meal here, very traditional Greek authentic flavours, not often you can eat a lamb shank with out a knife, but I did here, this was perfect!! My partner, a pescatarian, loved her stuffed peppers too. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about what they are serving. Would return and recommend. Thank you so much.

We went on a date and we could not decide so we had the mezze sharing platter.
It was really good but there was soo much all piled onto one plate.

Lovely spot in town that I would recommend going to! The service was superb and the chicken souvlaki was wonderful. The only improvement needed is with the fries that were not edible but otherwise 5/5!

Had a cracking meal here last night. The manager who served us was very friendly, continually smiling, and welcomed us warmly.
We had the halloumi and the Greek sausage stew for starters.
The Moussaka and a chicken Gyros (without tzatziki) for mains.
Glass of wine and a bottle of beer came to £40.35.
Food was hot, fresh tasting, and the salad crisp. Will definitely consider returning next time we're in Newcastle.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. The food, service and atmosphere is 10/10.
If you want to go to the best restaurant in the whole of the north east, then go here. They have a full Gluten Free Menu too which is brilliant. I always have the Yemista Peppers.
Authentic Greek Food. You actually feel like you are in a little Greek Taverna.
