By far one of the best meals I've had in town. The layout of the place means it has a bustling feel whilst still being far enough apart to provide some intimacy. The food was absolutely incredible. Really cannot compliment it enough. We ate here for a leaving do and it was a table of around 12 and every single person could only give huge compliments on the food. Service with mainly smiles and Italian flair. All for a very reasonable price given the quality of the food. Will be returning here again and again.
A very lovely Italian restaurant, must visit when visiting Newcastle. The food tastes incredible and authentic, also big in portion. Would recommend to anyone. They also serve one of the best calamari
Food is hot and tasty. About £23 for a drink, pasta and dessert. Good value and service. One of the best Italian comfort food in the UK. Highly recommend.
Probably the best Italian restaurant in Newcastle, the food is always fresh and delicious and good service despite how busy they can get. I have visited on numerous occasions and it has always been great, my only hope is that it stays this way!
Amazing place!
Set just down a side street off a bustling main road, this Italian restaurant is a gem.
Was politely greeted by the bar person on entry, and efficiently shown to my table soon after.
The table service was very prompt and friendly. The food just perfect. I had the ravioli main with a side and tiramisu dessert. All that plus a juice was only £25!
Looking forward to coming back next time I’m in town!

Service is almost a little too fast, a testiment to the freshness of the menu.
The Cancioffa was so delicious. I didn't even realise it was vegan. Rice, lentils, spinach, garlic and artichokes, absolutely beautiful. I love the Sicilian lemonade here. The staff are lovely too. You'll need to book ahead, it's always busy.

It's a lovely atmosphere and outstanding food. The staff are warm, friendly and provide exceptional service. The team communicate with us through gestures and make sure that we understand each other as we are deaf. Very comfortable and warm its feel like we are in Italy!
The food was delicious, and we'll definitely be visiting again in the future.

My wife took me here for a celebratory meal after having it recommended by her boss. I cannot praise Panis enough for our lovely visit. First off, the service was outstanding. The young girl serving us was really pleasant and answered any questions we had. Secondly, the food. Oh my god, the food was amazing. It has to be up there with one of the tastiest meals I've ever had. Even the thought of the flavours are making my mouth water again. Third and finally the cost. I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive than it was,especially as its in Newcastle city centre. Will definitely recommend this place and will be going back.
Managed to get a table here and very pleased that we eventually came.
Staff were so helpful with the pram and baby changing facilities are on site.
Lovely food, including the garlic bread with cheese and the pasta.
Initially brought wrong wine over but changed with no hassle. Lovely time, good food, helpful staff, what more could you want!
