Would recommend this place on balance. Especially their whole rotisserie chicken which was reminiscent of a Portuguese Churrascaria.
The chips were very good, and a very wide range of hot sauces to taste with it added good variety of flavour to those and the chicken.
On the downsides, the beer wasn't that cold & the service was slow. I didn't have any but the fried chicken looked a tad dry.
Would recommend, good portions of food and ample variety of sauces. Ordered two different beers, both were warm. Service is good although is not very fast.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coop Chicken House and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. The marinated chicken strips were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The spicy sauce that the chicken was marinated in was a perfect balance of heat and flavor, and it was clear that the chicken had been marinated for the perfect amount of time to infuse the flavors throughout.
While the chicken strips weren't crispy, they were still cooked to perfection and had a delicious texture that was tender and juicy. The service at Coop Chicken House was also top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to ensure that every customer had an enjoyable dining experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend Coop Chicken House to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. The marinated chicken strips are a must-try, and the staff will make sure that you have a great experience from start to finish. Coop Chicken House is a true gem that is not to be missed.
COOP has an absolutely great atmosphere, I’m not sure if he’s the owner but one of the members of staff is super friendly and always makes you laugh and feel right at home.
The selection of chicken and flavours is just second to none there’s not many better places around than COOP. The wood fire makes the meat super tender, I highly recommend coming here.
Food was delicious. Massive portions, could barely get through what we ordered!
Chicken salad needs a bit more salad, was very chicken heavy.
Staff were friendly.
Cracking food, nothing too fancy just plain straight chicken with various options of sauces and seasoning with a good variation of sides to compliment. We enjoyed so much that we returned the following night although it has to be said the service and food was far better on the first night when the owner was on the premises, the service on the second night was far slower and less efficient even though they were less busy. A word of advice for anyone visiting, don’t venture too far from the throne the following day and keep some bog roll in the freezer if you decide to go nuclear on the sauces 😂
My favourite today is the sun-dried tomato salad. Although the whole chicken is top recommended, I love the wings better which got more different flavours to choose. It’s a nice & relaxing place.
Really nice place, takes a good while for the food to arrive but that's because it is cooked fresh and is consequently delicious. The menu looked expensive but because the main course came with sides we ended up with a very good value meal for three. Lots of original sauces and seasonings. Really liked it, will come back.
This is defo a place I'll visit often. The food was good, and the quantity of chicken was more than I was expecting. This box is reg was about £9ish. Due to sweet potato fries. But it was worth it. Good stuff
Venue = cool. Service = very good. Chicken = disappointing.
The burger is nice but the chicken isn't noticeable. The quality of the wings is below standard for Newcastle (broken bones and lacking meat). They are frugal on sauce, both on the wings and the "saucy" burger. Worth a try but I wouldn't go back.
