Second time I've been now and the overall experience was excellent. Food was absolutely tip top, as was the service by the friendly staff who took their time to chat to customers after their meal. I'll certainly be going back. :)

An excellent restaurant. The portions were well sized, rather than being the usual massive size in an Indian and were very good overall. The staff were friendly and attentive. The dal was really very good as was the lamb in a silky sauce. Interestingly, the menu did contain something for an 'iron stomach', which we didn't try, but were tempted by! Would suggest a visit.
Very good food, brother said it was the best curry he had eaten ,& he has had many. Staff were very helpful & respectful, but a very wet Wednesday evening, when Liverpool & Man City were playing was probably not the best evening to determine the popularity of the restaurant!! Definitely worth another visit.
A place to go if you want a nice Indian meal away from the curry houses serving the same old korma. The food is very authentic, very well cooked and beautifully presented. Great service I would highly recommend!
Really sad to find that Vujon is closing. This has been a firm favourite if ours for some time and we have enjoyed many a good meal here. We didn't know when we booked for New Year's Eve 2019 that it would the last night they were open.
We realised straight away that things weren't as normal - the wall lights were not working so it was very dim, there was no wallpaper on the walls, the carpet had been replaced with a wood floor so it was noisey when anyone walked across the floor and the heating was none existent. Thankfully most of the food was good as usual.
It's closing for a three month refurbishment so let's see if the new place lasts for the 30+ years that Vujon was there.
My wife and I went to Vujon last night for her birthday. The restaurant was recommended to us and we were certainly not disappointed.
The food was the best Indian meal I have ever had. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the staff excellent, the menu and choice varied and the cost value for money.
I had scallops as a starter followed by Sea Bass cooked with chillies and my wife had a Chicken Tikka Masala.
I have tried several Indian restaurants in Newcastle over the years but none of them come anywhere near Vujon.
Thank you to the staff for making our birthday visit special.
A beautiful restaurant with nice food. This was my first visit there are so many Indian restaurants to choose from I don't know if this made it to my list of ones to make a point of revisiting. If someone made a reservation and I was invited I certainly would not turn the invite down.
Visited here for an impromptu Saturday evening meal, and what a good idea it was. Service was great. Food tasty and plentyful. Spotlessly clean, and 3 course special was excellent value. We'll defo come here again.
Excellent food, great service, wonderful building with alot of history. Owners are exceptionally friendly, catered for my familys tastes by altering the normal menu to meet thier non spice tolerance.
