We had a lovely midweek meal here the other week.
We did not book a table and had no problem walking in.
All of the food we ordered was lovely. The waiters were very helpful recommending dishes and the wine in the restaurant was also lovely.
The pizza
A lovely atmosphere, cute interior, and good food - the pork belly starter was nicely balanced with a sweet minty base and the veggie lasagna main was very satisfying but also light at the same time. Cocktails were absolutely great, there’s an everyday deal of 2for1 and it’s so worth it. Plus staff
Food is great. Ambience is excellent. Great place if you have a big group as it is spacious
Date night with my wife, pleasant staff, food was nice enough if not a bit small portion wise, but I'd definitely recommend!
Really recommend this place! The pastas were both delicious and the tomato garlic bread we got to share was really good! Servers were all very friendly, the decor was nice downstairs. Overall a good experience and definitely not as expensive as I thought it would have been!
Mistakes Happen! Poor waiter accidentally dropped a tray of drinks all over our table and my son. You know what these things happen and they truly owned it. Couldn’t have apologised enough, sorted out a very fair discount etc and made my son feel much better about the whole thing.
Food was brillian

Been coming to Marco Polo on and off for 20 odd years and I have to say it's still a great place for food. Hadn't been for a year or so but the food, service, staff and atmosphere is still great. Love the food and great selection. Drinks list to is fab. Great place to eat.
First time here could not believe food so tasty and excellent service, got the pasta with smoked chicken and perfect in every way. My wife got the steak and again perfectly cooked not like some other restaurants. Staff were so friendly and efficient, atmosphere very good and cost reasonable.
Attended as a large group for a work social. Really nice restaurant and decor. They were really geared up and well staffed for our group. Attentive and served food and drinks quickly. The calamari starter was lovely and the pasta dish really different to anything I've had before and was delicious. W
Great pizza with nice flavours, was fantastic value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bit cramped in the restaurant and toilets are not the best design with sink being behind the door (almost crushed another customer opening the door).
Lost a star due to automatic addition of 10% service charge.
First time in newcastle, and we looked for somewhere you could eat without a reservation. This place was amazing. The food, drinks, and staff are fantastic. It is well worth going and would highly recommend.
