Finally managed to visit this place since it was refurbished and can I get a wow???!! Great selection of drinks and the food was so much better than it should have been, this is not pub food people, this is food that should be photographed eaten and then washed down with lots of beer. Staff very helpful and not patronising like sadly so many other places, comes highly recommend by little old me x

Really liked it here. Away from home with work I am often alone eating out and this place was perfect for that teatime slot. My only mild irritation was I used the app to order food. With most ordering apps you get a digital receipt for your order. This is very handy for processing expenses. I was a bit surprised that the HoS app does not do this. No receipt no payment by my company so I am out of pocket for the price of my meal. Which was excellent btw

This is a good place, but not very gluten friendly. The food was delicious and relatively inexpensive. Friendly staff was able to instruct us on more gluten friendly options, but this is NOT a gluten free place. Drinks and food were terrific, though.

Really enjoyed the shawarma fries !! Such a big portion for the price and also was really happy to see so many vegan/vegetarian options across the entire menu! Staff were super friendly and helpful, warm atmosphere and really enjoyed the music :) thank you!!

Marvellous, with engaging and knowledgeable staff. Felt very welcome and excellent choice of cask and keg. In an ideal world the Untappd list would be up-to-date, but I liked it here and felt welcome.

Joseph the gentleman! Went in to order a standard drink and the legend that was Joseph was full of recommendations. All of us tasted a new drink and ended up going for something different that was way better than your regular lagers and ciders. He’s a smooth operator and he’s killing it, give that man a pay rise because if not, I’ll hire him when I’m a millionaire! All jokes aside top bar man.

We were a large group (11ppl) , so had to book a table in advance. Most of us had burgers, and everyone enjoyed their food. A good atmosphere too.

Really pleased to have found this little gem of a pub while I was a bit lost at Newcastle Quayside with my daughter and 21 week old XL Bully puppy yesterday 😂 Really lovely, dog friendly pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, too 👍 Our puppy Muffin, was delighted to make friends with a huge 1yr old Great Dane called Moose 😀 Sadly they became so excited with each other's company that I had to remove Muffin from the situation before any potential carnage (such as spilled drinks..) so we took her to sit outside while we finished our drinks in peace.. 🤣 Will definitely return when Muffin's a bit older - that's if I can find it again.. 🤔 Highly recommended establishment 💯
