Undoubtedly the best sandwich shop in the north of England! So much flavour in every bite, go here every day for lunch and have done for years and have no intention of ever changing that!
Would definitely recommend the 'Usain Bolt' a really hidden gem in the menu! I've probably had 1000 of them and it never tires! Haha

Fantastic sandwich/food shop with knowledgeable, brilliant, friendly, helpful and eager staff. Huge range of sandwiches and other quality food stuff (including sauces, jams, chutney, soft drinks etc etc). Was busy when we went which is always a good sign and been in business for ages - outstanding place. We bought three different types of sandwich and three cakes - all fresh and tasted lovely. Thoroughly recommended.
This award winning sandwich shop is worth the visit, you could go every day and it would take weeks to get through the menu, I would but my waist won't let me! Fab choice of breads and filling, made for you as you wait, just how you like it. Good choice of sweet treats too and savoury temptations. All this served by some of the friendliest and helpful staff you will ever find. Don't miss out!
I’m absolutely hooked on Dene’s deli sandwiches, I get one almost every week. I love this place! Huge sandwiches, freshly made to order with good quality fillings and absolutely delicious bread (poppy seed stottie for me!) The staff are friendly and welcoming which makes it such a nice little local deli.
After trying about 10 different sandwiches, I just can’t get enough of the Super 16: avocado, beetroot, feta cheese and salad which goes perfectly with both the yoghurt spread and carrot pickle, so tasty! 😋
Great Lunch with good quality ingredients and some nice choices for a different alternate lunch. Usain Bolt Sarnie was excellent with a great bun choice too. Worth the price 👌 😉
Fantastic award winning deli making fresh custom sandwiches and much more, with lots of tasty cakes and brownies. I recommend their chocolate rice crispie slices and their sesame bagels with the filling of your choice.
Gets busy sometimes, but many people preparing everything and it's always worth the wait. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Sandwiches here are delicious, I had chicken with brie on a seeded bun with mayo and salad. Fairly priced, great value for money. It's well worth a visit.
One of my favourite places to eat. Their sandwiches are so good, and set the bar so high that you instantly realise most other places are just serving you disappointment between two slices of mighty white in comparison.
Definitely go but be prepared to have a new standard set which all other sandwich shops will fail to meet.
They used to sell the best crisps in the world too, what I’d call the habanero bad boys. I think the manufacturer stopped making them but they were nuts (and also the mutt’s nuts). Too hot to nail a bag in one go but an amazing addition to a sarnie.
Always a great lunch. Brilliant fresh ingredients, home made desserts and loads of options. The staff are all really welcoming too!
Absolutely (pastrami) ham packed sarnie! Handsome & an absolute delight start to finish. Couldn't pass on an 11/10 caramelised onion and sausage roll chaser either. Bit grisly for my liking but easily overlooked cos it tasted lush. Quick serving, friendly staff were the cherry on the cake. Glad I stumbled across this place.
