What a lovely place, there is nothing more better than having tea with doggies! The staff were great as well, always ensuring all the guests had some time with each dog. What a great idea for a cafe. Really recommend it for doggy lovers! Also I Couldn't resist buying a Dog and Scone blanket. Me and my partner will be returning.
Dog and Scone is a dog lovers paradise! All the dogs are wonderfup and love to play and be petted. The staff are very friendly and make sure you get some time with each dog. I highly recommend this cafe to everyone heading to Newcastle - this is the place to visit!
I have been here multiple times over the years. Recently they have had fewer dogs than before. The older and more approachable ones are retired now, but I still like it. They will show you a chart of doggies' names, will let you hold them for a bit (but you have to wait for your turn), and give you food to feed them. They also started sailing dog-themed products which is nice. Their tea and scones are good and affordable. It’s a nice place to chill with cute doggies and some other dog lovers.
I absolutely loved this little cafe! Perfect spot for a date or nice outing with friends and family. The staff were all lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere was very calming. I would definitely like to return in the future :)
First and foremost dogs are very cute and playful so if you are coming just for them then it is worth it. I wasn't expecting much from the food and drink with the dogs being the main attraction and all but to my surprise they were actually very nice and I would strongly recommend the hot chocolate to anyone coming here. I think this place is well worth an hour of your time and I would, and indeed have came back again.
Absolutely loved going to Dog & Scone. The dogs were fantastic, the staff brilliant and really friendly and we had such a nice session. Highly recommend. Sugar is my favourite dog there <3

The only problem is I feel some if not all the dogs could do with a few hours break mid afternoon just to get away from constant touching or handling. They just looked knackered

Really affordable, and friendly staff. Food was great too! Everything is very clean and although the dogs weren’t quite affectionate the staff did try and involve every dog that they could to come sit/ be held by me. The dogs meet hundreds of people everyday so can’t really expect them to want to be touched all the time which is totally understandable. Like that each dog has its own personality, fell in love with with Sugar and of course noodle 🩵
We had the loveliest time at Dog and Scone. It's a lovely relaxed environment for the dogs, and the staff are incredible. They are really aware of the dogs' needs whilst also making sure every guest gets some quality dog cuddles. We had toasties and drinks which were lovely, and really added to the experience. We will definitely be back again one day.
need a dopamine hit? Get your butt here. DOGGOS - lovely kind staff who clearly love their job. Great food and drinks. Dogs with missing teeth and wet wild tongues hanging out but cute and cuddly all the same. Zero complaints and bonds made - I’ll be back 😆
Lovely dog cafe, and plenty of different, super-cute dog breeds to suit everyone's taste. Sugar the mini pomeranian and the short-haired dachshund were our favourite. They were all very friendly, super excitable and playful as we booked at 11am, which we were informed that's when they're most excited. The staff were very polite and accommodating too. It was a shame there weren't enough puffies or low seats for everyone to sit and stroke the dogs. We were also given treats to feed the dogs, which was nice and helped interact with them. Had a cappuccino, lemon muffin and lemon ice tea, they were nice. It's well worth a visit, but bare in mind if you plan to visit, you'll have to be able to sit down in order to interact with the dogs 100%, as it's not guaranteed they'll want to sit on your lap. Also, I would recommend the staff don't interact with the dogs too much, as the dogs then don't bother interacting with customers.
A fantastic place to spend an hour snuggling gorgeous pooches and having a lovely hot drink.
Never too busy thanks to their great booking policy.
The dogs are all clearly loved and well looked after.
