Visited with a group of friends and a dog intending to just have a few drinks knowing how busy pubs get so close to Christmas, the bar was a little busy but waited no more than a few minutes to get a full round and treats and a bowl of water were swiftly provided by eagle eyed manager Steve. After a few and seeing the food others around had ordered we decided to order a selection of the small plates and some sides, we were advised there may be a short wait due to the level of customers in but again we were pleasantly surprised when these were delivered piping hot to the table about 15 minutes later. Not a single complaint from any of us, it was lovely food and worked out very good value for money. The bar staff were all very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again soon.

Steve is always really welcoming when we come in, explained the different drinks available to my friend who hadn’t been here before, always super helpful and the bar is a great place for students to get lunch as it’s just up the road from the university. Food is lovely and atmosphere is great whether on a quiet Monday afternoon or a busy match day.
