Organised an afternoon tea for my mum’s 70th birthday for 30 people. The room was set up lovely, the service was great and it was the best afternoon tea I’ve had. Definitely recommend. Thank you

Spent a lovely afternoon here with another couple we haven't seen for ages. After a very nice lunch at a very reasonable price we enjoyed a relaxed chat in the comfortable bar/lounge, which is clearly popular with people of all ages including families. It's not a "drinker's" bar and is more for diners, and is very nicely decorated and maintained with a warm welcome from the staff. We've been to the dining room upstairs before and it was excellent but we prefer the bar atmosphere. We'll definitely go again.

The food is always freshly cooked and generously portioned without being overwhelming. So tasty too. One ofy most favourite places. Shame it's a bit out of the way for passing trade but well worth a visit as it's not too far off the beaten track. Would certainly recommend it. Lovely inside, comfortable and not too noisy to prevent having a cosy chat. Staff are so friendly and the chef so accommodating, especially if you want to tweak a menu item. If they have it in, they will make it.

Smashing place. Out in the sticks but worth the drive to get there. Has ample parking and a recently outfitted children’s area. A cosy atmosphere created by the log burner fireplace is complimented by a good menu and great wine selection. The food is presented well and taste great. The mobile signal is weak but the pub does have free wi-fi available. The children are well catered for with a choice of activities, children’s menu and good selection of toys in their own area.

Stayed at the plough last night as attending a wedding close by, from the minute we checked in the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered a light lunch to make way for the delicious puddings. We weren't disappointed, food was of highest standard. Room was bright and airy with amazing views. King size comfortable bed with lovely fresh white bed linen, the room was tastefully decorated with tea and coffee making facilities along with good quality cookies. Breakfast was of the same standard and plentiful had to leave some only because of the size of it. Nothing was to much trouble for the owner's and their team. Would highly recommend this place. Going to go back an sample Sunday lunch. Paul and Bernie

Now a coffee shop rather than a pub, the food is excellent, as was the young lady running front of house. It’s still got that cosy pub ambience, especially in the winter when the wood burner is fired up, but it suits the high-end coffee emporium idea really rather well. Random suggestion: would it be possible to put scones on the menu as well as the tea cake? It would also give the option to make up an afternoon tea affair from elements already on the menu. Pro tip: find a spot near the fire and chill. The food service wasn’t the absolute fastest (but it was OK!) as there seems to be a huge shortage of staff to work in the hospitality industry post-COVID. Your best bet is to order drinks, sit back and relax…

We were there for a Family member who was having his 90th birthday party. Everything went as smooth as expected from the Staff greeting, table layout, service, staff, chefs and waiting staff too. They were all excellent and I have only heard praise from all the guests about the excellent food too. I would thoroughly recommend The Plough Inn for any function whatsoever 5*

My gran and grandad are all of their friends rant and rave about this place! So I went along for dinner one night and we had the Kevin Lu Chinese’s banquet which was amazing! There was so many courses and the quantity was large however that did not take away the amazing quality of the food! We ate half there and brought half home. All of the staff were polite and energetic and checked back after every course and kept or drinks topped up which is always good hosting! I would definitely recommend a visit! There is both an English and a Chinese cuisine menu available so it is suitable for most

Went along to try the Fish Friday, no need to reserve - plenty of tables available. Staff were fabulous, comfortable chairs, chilled drinks, good ambiance. The plate when it arrived contained the largest battered fish I have ever been served (11inches), very good portion of tasty crunchy chips with fresh peas. Portion of ice cream served afterwards. Delish meal, though would have preferred breaded fish - but that's just me. Scoffed the lot before thinking of taking a pic.

This place has a hugh menu including a large Cantonese selection. We had fish platter and chicken wrapped in bacon with cream cheese sauce. A good selection of wine too. Plenty of tables inside and out. Will definitely go back to try more.

Went here for valentines although had been before for Sunday lunch which was always lovely had never been in the upstairs restaurant , it was very nicely decorated and more intimate . For valentines they had decorated the table accordingly . The food and service was very good . At the end of the meal they gave every lady a single red rose and a few heart chocs would definitely go again . The trio of chocolate dessert was sooo yummy
