We spent a few hours here on Sunday afternoon with our grown up children and their babies. It was very enjoyable. We had Sunday Dinner 2 x meat and 2 x Vegan and they were very tasty and good value for money. The meaty one got excellent reviews and the gravy was spectacular. It had a nice cross-section of people in and the atmosphere was cosy and laid back. Nice happy vibe. It's a nice traditional pub - like they used to be back in the day and we will return again soon. a little gem of a place ..
Very good pub just off Chillingham Road. Good selection of ales, lagers, and ciders. Looking at the menu, there are a few dishes I haven't seen anywhere else, so it's worth a visit for a few reasons. Staff are very friendly and helpful and, lots of space inside. Very very popular Thursday nights for the quiz.
Top notch! Will be back soon. I think the word I used to describe the food was "phenomenal". Fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked, well presented and in a timely manner, what more could you ask for!
Great beer garden which gets the late sun. Quirky attractive interior. We are veggie so on Sunday evening could only get the poutine. This was quite nice but with veggie pork it was quite expensive for the size of it. Much more choice for veggies at other times, though.
This was the third post funeral do we have had there in the last 3 years. Food was spot on excellent sandwiches a delicious mushroom curry Cakes were great and lots of salad and nan breads. Best one so far...and the food kept on coming. Well done excellent

Absolutely amazing food and great pints! The staff are friendly and it's a pub with a great atmosphere. It was the last place I went to before lockdown and it was a great send off! We took our puppy as it was dog friendly and had the most amazing burger and chips! The food was out of this world and the pints helped it go down nicely! Also, we only live over the road which is a benefit. Best local I could ever want.
