Yesterday I visited the Jingling gate for Lunch with 2 of my friends, and i have to say it's been a long time since I received service as good as what I did yesterday. The food was served piping hot and was fresh and flavoursome. The burgers were cooked right through and juicy, the mac and cheese was lovely and in a fresh cheese sauce. The portions were very generous for the price paid. Big thankyou to the waiting staff because although the restaurant was busy they continued to work professionally and efficiency!
As for the atmosphere, I couldn't fault it was joyful nice seeing other customers enjoying their meals and staff working together without tension. We finished our meal with a oreo cheesecake, a chocolate fudge cake and a crumble and they were all delicious! I will definitely be visiting again! I wish I could rate more than 5 ☆ Many thanks :)
Visited yesterday and have to say we waited far too long for a tea and a coffee my partner had nearly finished his pint by the time we got our tea and coffee.but on the plus side the staff were nice
Great locl pub, fabulous menu good for lunchtimes and evening. Large bar and lovely outdoor area for the summer sun, nice atmosphear.
Nice country looking pub that's a local. Big car park, plenty of sport and a nice crowd. Good food and beer kids welcome till 9. good staff, wide choice of beers and offers on food and wine. Well worth a visit.
Good pub grub. Price is decent. We had a bit of a wait for the food. But the atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. I had the pie. Wife had all day brunch. They have pensioner and kid deals too. I come back home from abroad every few years and always come here with the oldies.
First time in here - it was very busy, and I could quickly see why!
Staff were very friendly, attentive, and coping well under pressure.
Food was brought out fairly fast considering how busy it was!
Food was amazing, very good portion sizes for very good prices.
Kids thoroughly enjoyed their meals and keep asking to come back already.

Got an 8oz rare rump steak on the Thursday £10 steak deal. It was the nicest steak I've had in ages; melt in the mouth cooked perfectly and not a spot of fat or gristle to be seen. Spot on!
We happened to call in here on the way to see a band. There was a great female singer on. Not sure if this is every Saturday night, but was nice to hear some music.
We looked at the menu and as I am GF this place has a great selection of non gluten containing foods.
The drink selection was excellent and prices reasonable.
Would definitely go back.
Has the chef been changed recently because the food and menu has improved massively, lovely food, decent pint, nice place to be 😁.
I had the beef bourguignon and it was absolutely fantastic! Beautifully cooked, staff was very friendly and service minded.
The only down side was it was very loud as there was a birthday dinner with a lot of restless children towards the end. But we’ve all been restless children at some point!
The food took a bit long but we were informed before we ordered and the wait was definitely worth it! Highly recommend 🙌
Very friendly and good service by Nat & Co. The only criticism is that the cutlery did not look as clean as it might but the food was definitely value for money, good quality and quantity. Will go back. Not over impressed with the gents toilet!! Apparent leak through the floor.

We were meeting for an informal lunch and the Jingling Gate proved to be just right - a friendly and unpretentious venue, tasty food, good value, no time constraints, pleasant staff. I've no doubt that we will return.
