Loved visiting the Get Carter Pub, great atmosphere & food & staff were polite & helpful especially Dom the Bartender, cheers mate..
Really nice pub directly opposite of main station. Opened for drinks at 10am, food from 12 on. Good lunch deals and very tasty burgers. There is always someone in for a drink and as it is a place for tourists, it is quite international.
Good variety of ales on tap and a really friendly bartender - if you have to wait for your train or fancy a nice pint and a burger, come in and enjoy!
Great pub opposite Newcastle Central Station but with normal prices and very friendly staff
Myself and my Wife held our wedding reception upstairs in Newcastle.
This was the first wedding the venue had catered for in the Grainger and get carter rooms upstairs.. Ourselves and our guests were so impressed and the afternoon and evening was phenomenal. The staff were absolutely fantastic, so so accommodating and bent over backwards to assist us to make our lives easier. Our meal was outstanding and only received praise by all the guests so a massive thank you to the chefs..
We then had our evening reception and buffet. Everything went perfectly and myself and my Wife are so grateful to everyone involved.. Apologies if I miss anyone but staff Aaron, Jade, Laura and Dom really did an outstanding job, professional, polite and good characters. Jamie as manager has worked well with us throughout the whole process and again we can't thank enough. I can't give you all enough praise for a wonderful day and thank the staff involved for making our special day unforgettable and for them being a part of it! 100% recommended!
Great friendly service from Allan as always, we then had food which was beautiful, served by a lovely dark haired girl (didn't get her name) think she was part of the management team! Became one of our locals, will definitely be back again! Xxx
Popped in to see the pub in 'Get Carter', loved the little memorabilia on the wall. Friendly staff and good selection of beers, ended up coming back at the end of our trip for one before the train. Food looked good.
What a fabulous Geordie welcome on Thursday 17th August around 1.30 pm given by the very friendly ,and knowledgeable Alan
It's great to know The Great British Hospitality is still thriving in our region
Nothing was too much trouble and great banter and superb local ( and drinks and food )knowledge.
We had a quick business meeting and catch up and chose the selection of 5 tapas dishes to share for £22.
They were absolutely delicious and we could not finish them the portions were so huge
Alan looked after us from start to finish and even replenished our drinks during our meeting with table service
Great banter and. Credit to the industry .
Thank you Alan z
Great historical ambiance, good beers
The service was great, food came out quick and staff were very friendly and quick to accommodate to any needs.
I can't actually think of any improvements haha, maybe having the space upstairs made into one big room rather than being separated by a wall but obviously that's not something that can be changed easily.
Great food, not too busy. Good beer selection too.
