Loved visiting the Get Carter Pub, great atmosphere & food & staff were polite & helpful especially Dom the Bartender, cheers mate..
Really nice pub directly opposite of main station. Opened for drinks at 10am, food from 12 on. Good lunch deals and very tasty burgers. There is always someone in for a drink and as it is a place for tourists, it is quite international. Good variety of ales on tap and a really friendly bartender - i
Great pub opposite Newcastle Central Station but with normal prices and very friendly staff
Myself and my Wife held our wedding reception upstairs in Newcastle. This was the first wedding the venue had catered for in the Grainger and get carter rooms upstairs.. Ourselves and our guests were so impressed and the afternoon and evening was phenomenal. The staff were absolutely fantastic, so
Great friendly service from Allan as always, we then had food which was beautiful, served by a lovely dark haired girl (didn't get her name) think she was part of the management team! Became one of our locals, will definitely be back again! Xxx
Popped in to see the pub in 'Get Carter', loved the little memorabilia on the wall. Friendly staff and good selection of beers, ended up coming back at the end of our trip for one before the train. Food looked good.
What a fabulous Geordie welcome on Thursday 17th August around 1.30 pm given by the very friendly ,and knowledgeable Alan It's great to know The Great British Hospitality is still thriving in our region Nothing was too much trouble and great banter and superb local ( and drinks and food )knowledge.
Great historical ambiance, good beers
The service was great, food came out quick and staff were very friendly and quick to accommodate to any needs. I can't actually think of any improvements haha, maybe having the space upstairs made into one big room rather than being separated by a wall but obviously that's not something that can be
Great food, not too busy. Good beer selection too.
Very expensive! It takes the fact that it's the 1st pub you see as you come out of the station. Staff really friendly and knowledge about the beers. Food is of good quality just what you expect from a nicolsons pub. Definitely visit as its a Newcastle pub classic with shots of old Newcastle aroun
This pub which is opposite the main railway station was the haunt of Michael Caine in the Get Carter film one of my favourite movies. The staff were very welcoming and a big thank you to Laura who let me go to the room on the first floor to look at the photos from the film. Thank you for your kind h
Great pub opposite the main Railway Station! Food was superb! I had the Toad In The Hole and my Wife had the Halloumi Fries with Chicken Strips. There was also a great choice of beers and the friendly staff made it an excellent stop! Happy days!! Also as a tip, sign up to Nicholson’s Pubs and you wi
The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us talking us through the range of draft lager and making us feel very welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. The food was reasonably priced, filling and delicious.
Marvelous time tonight at The Victoria Comet! Wild boar and chorizo pie was sumptuous and my wife’s chicken salad sandwich was enormous. Beers were perfect and the bar staff was fantastic. Highly recommend!
